The Xol Harvester is the Xol flux gatherer, a Tier 0 flying unit that costs 175 hexite, occupies no supply, and is capped at five. It is far tougher than a worker has any right to be at 400 health, it respawns by itself 60 seconds after being destroyed, and it carries a combat ability: Overclock, the same buff the Synapse uses, on a 60 second cooldown. It gathers 1 flux from a standard deposit and 2 from a rich one.
It carries Medium armour. That is worth saying explicitly because of the name: there used to be a separate armour type called Harvester, and it was deleted on August 11, 2026 and folded into Medium. The unit is still a harvester; the armour type by that name no longer exists.
Figures below describe the September 2026 Early Access build, the one carrying the identifier ZS.c36778, and they move with the weekly patch cadence. Roughly half the versus roster had a stat touched in the fortnight before that build was captured, so treat every number here as dated rather than permanent.

Weapons
The Xol Harvester has no weapon. It is a gathering unit with one support ability and no attack of any kind.
Abilities
Ability | Type | Cooldown | Duration | Effect |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Overclock | Activated, around self | 60s | 5s | Gives nearby friendly ground and air units the Overclock buff. The entity record describes it as +35% damage and movement speed. A studio note gives a larger movement figure, covered in the Notes below. |
Upgrades
There are no Xol Harvester upgrades, and the Molten Core cannot upgrade it. The World Forge upgrades do not reach it either: those apply to Xol army units, and the Harvester is tagged as a harvester unit rather than an army one. It is one of the few Xol bodies that no upgrade system touches.
Conversion Costs
Replicate is the Xol conversion mechanic, paid out of the same top bar power pool as the Grell Infuse and the Legion Reanimate, and it copies an eligible allied unit rather than buffing it. The Xol Harvester is eligible for none of the three. Its record carries no Infuse, Reanimate or Replicate cost and it is explicitly flagged as ineligible for all of them, so no faction can act on it. It also cannot be mind controlled.
Role
The Xol economy is unusual in that hexite and flux are gathered by different means. The World Engine raises and rebuilds extractors on a hexite patch without being told to, while the Harvester handles flux, and the two caps interact: five Harvesters is the whole flux operation. Losing one is therefore a real economic hit, which is what the 400 health and the automatic 60 second respawn are there to soften.
Armour is a number as well as a type. It subtracts a flat amount from every incoming hit with a floor of 1 damage, so it blunts many small hits far more than one large one. The Harvester carries an armour value of 0, so nothing blunts incoming hits, and Medium armour type puts it in the crosshairs of a large family of bonuses. Since August 11, 2026 every harvester and extractor in the game sits on Medium, which was the whole point of the change: it gave every anti economy weapon one shared target category instead of a special case. The Echo at +50%, the Grell Skrell and the Protectorate Ironwing and Predator all key off it.
Overclock on a harvester is the odd detail. Sixty seconds is twice the Synapse cooldown, but a Harvester near a fight is free utility, and the ability targets friendly ground and air units around itself rather than needing a target. Flying at speed 400 with vision 18 also makes the Harvester a usable scout in a pinch, though losing one to that is expensive at a cap of five.
Faction Context
Xol extractors are built and rebuilt automatically by the World Engine, which means the faction spends less attention on its hexite line than the others do and concentrates its worker management on the Harvester. See Resources and Economy for how hexite and flux are gathered and spent across all four factions, and Units for how the shared stat block is read.
Counters
Strong against | Why |
|---|---|
Light harassment | 400 health is more than most early raiding units expect from a worker. |
Sustained pressure on the economy | A destroyed Harvester respawns by itself after 60 seconds at no cost. |
Weak to | Why |
|---|---|
Weapons with Medium bonuses | Medium armour since August 11, 2026, and an armour value of 0 means nothing is subtracted from incoming hits. |
Anti air harassment | The Harvester flies, so anything that can shoot upward can reach it wherever it is working. |
Focused raids | A cap of five means each loss removes a fifth of the flux income for a full minute. |
Balance History
Date | Change |
|---|---|
August 11, 2026 | The separate Harvester armour type was deleted and every harvester and extractor in the game, including this unit and the Protectorate Extractor, was moved onto Medium armour. |
August 19, 2026 | A harvester and the Protectorate Extractor were among twenty two units and structures moved onto a newer animation system in a performance pass, with no stat effect. |
Notes
The roster record for this unit is COMPLETE. Every core field is published.
The record names no producing or unlocking structure for the Harvester, which is a gap rather than a statement that none exists. The same gap appears on the Scouting Drone.
The August 19, 2026 performance note names a harvester in a list of twenty two units and structures without specifying which faction, so its application to the Xol Harvester specifically is an inference rather than a stated fact.
Overclock carries the same +35% damage and movement speed wording as the Synapse and the Eradicator versions, and the same August 11, 2026 studio note that records the movement half being increased applies to all of them. The studio note is the authoritative record; the entity text has not been updated to match.
Per unit numbers are drawn from a community maintained entity catalogue that the studio links from each of its own faction pages. It is the only place the full stat block is published, and it is not a studio document, so the figures are best read as careful community documentation of a build rather than as an official specification. Dated balance notes, by contrast, come straight from the studio patch posts.
