Overview

Toolbox is a workbench craft station in Windrose. An upgrade extender for the Workbench that unlocks iron-tier tool recipes, including Iron Axe, Iron Pickaxe, and nail-based iron utility items.

Toolbox is an upgrade extender that snaps to a Workbench. Placing it inside the base station's extender footprint unlocks the recipes gated behind this extender on the base station's own craft list. It does not craft items on its own; the base station handles all recipes.

Placement Strategy

The Toolbox is the last Workbench extender to unlock in a typical playthrough. Five Foothills Iron Ingots and twenty Nails place the build cost squarely in the mid-game refining camp, after the Smelting Furnace has been running for a while. Once the Toolbox is up, iron-tier tools become available at the base Workbench, which in turn speeds up every gathering and mining loop downstream.

Tips

• Nails are Workbench-crafted. The Toolbox's 20-Nail requirement is circular: build Nails at the base Workbench first, then snap the Toolbox on.

• Iron tools unlocked here cut Hardwood and break tougher ore nodes that Copper and Stone tools cannot.

• Attach the Toolbox after the Sawhorse and Tool Shelf to close out the Workbench extender loadout.
