Privateer's Gloves is the Rare hands piece of the Privateer's Regalia set in Windrose. The piece is tied to the People of Tortuga Provisioner. The plan unlocks at specific Reputation ranks with that faction; the Coat and Pants plans open at Rank 2 and the remaining pieces at higher ranks. Once the plan is unlocked, the piece is crafted at the Armor and Clothing Workshop like every other Rare armor piece.

Slot: Hands
Set: Privateer's Regalia
Item Level: ilvl 1
"An elegant attire worn by captains. It's just as easy to deal lethal blows during a boarding operation as to strut about at the governor's reception."
Like all Rare and Uncommon armor, Privateer's Gloves has three crafting tiers that set its base Defense. Each tier can be upgraded several more levels at the Upgrading Station using the same recipe materials.
Item Level | Defense | Craft Tier |
|---|---|---|
1 | 100 DEF | Base tier |
6 | 200 DEF | Second tier (upgraded recipe) |
11 | 300 DEF | Third tier (top recipe) |
Defense is the only combat stat carried by armor in this game; pieces do not add raw attribute points, so the Upgrading Station is where most of a piece's protection comes from. Each crafted tier of Privateer's Gloves can be reinforced several extra levels with the same recipe materials, and the Upgrade System lets a lower tier be pushed close to the next tier before you commit the rarer ingredients for the higher recipe.
Requires the craft plan Plans: Privateer's Gloves to be unlocked first. The Plans: Privateer's Gloves is sold by the People of Tortuga Provisioner at Reputation Rank 3 for 250 Piastres; the Provisioner is reached by building reputation with People of Tortuga.
Item Level | Station | Materials |

6 | 3 Linen Fabric, 2 Tanned Leather, 1 Sewing Tools | |

Each tier unlocks a new workshop attachment: the Shoemaker's Bench at ilvl 6 and the Material Rack at ilvl 11. Both attach to the Armor and Clothing Workshop and require its Bonfire coverage to function.
Privateer's Gloves counts toward the Privateer's Regalia 5-piece set. Set bonuses apply globally once the stated number of pieces are equipped at the same time.
Pieces | Bonus |
|---|---|
2-piece | Increases Critical Hit Chance by 10%. |
4-piece | Increases Critical Damage by 10% for each nearby enemy, up to 30%. |
Both bonuses are global buffs that switch on the moment the required number of Privateer's Regalia pieces are worn together, regardless of which slots they fill. The 2-piece critical hit chance boost is easy to reach with just this piece and one more, while the 4-piece critical damage stack rewards fighting in the middle of a group, making the set a strong pick for aggressive boarding and crowd fights.
The five pieces of the Privateer's Regalia set, one per equipment slot, are listed below. Set bonuses count any mix of these pieces, so partial builds are common.

"We are not pirates. We are privateers. We have papers, seals, and good lawyers." (captain Benjamin Hornigold)
Counts as one piece toward the Privateer's Regalia 2-piece and 4-piece bonuses: pairing it with a second piece from the same set is usually the minimum to get value out of the plan.
Privateer's Regalia is a Cloth set, so every tier is built from fabric and hide rather than ingots: the cheaper material curve makes it one of the faster crit-focused sets to assemble through the People of Tortuga plans.
Critical builds pair well with Precision weapons such as the Pistol and Musket, since the 4-piece bonus turns each landed critical into extra burst against clustered enemies.

Privateer's Gloves is a crafted item and does not drop from enemies or chests. It is made at the Armor and Clothing Workshop once its plan has been bought from the People of Tortuga, so the only way to obtain it is to unlock the plan and craft it yourself.
