Muskets are two-handed ranged firearms with the highest per-shot damage in the ranged roster. Three of the four muskets scale with Precision; the Infantry Musket is the lone Agility outlier thanks to its bayonet F-attack. All deal Pierce damage. They occupy both hands, locking out off-hand pistols, and favor set-piece sniping and long-range engagements.
The current build exposes four muskets: one Uncommon baseline and three Rare/Epic named variants. One variant (Infantry Musket) can be purchased from the Tortuga Goods Seller for 1,000 Piastre, making it the only ranged weapon in the current build with a vendor-listed price.
Every hit from this class lands as Pierce damage. Windrose sorts weapon damage into three types, Slash, Pierce, and Crude, and enemy defenses respond to each one differently. The same Pierce profile that tears through one foe can glance off another, so check what you are fighting before you lean an entire Precision build around a single damage type.

Ascending a Rare variant to Epic adds one more effect on top of the Rare effect. The exact bonus varies per weapon:

Every Rare/Epic weapon in this category shares the same scaling mechanics. Ascending a Rare variant at the Weaponsmith Workshop preserves the Rare effect and stacks the Epic bonus on top. The Reliable-line firearms in every class jump to Precision (S) or Agility (B) at Epic, which is the single largest scaling jump in the ranged roster.

Base recipe is Wood x10 plus Copper Ingot x7 at the Weaponsmith Workshop Level 1. Level 6-10 upgrades swap to Hardwood plus Foothills Iron Ingot. Level 11-15 upgrades swap to Hardwood plus Mire Metal Ingot. Master's Tools becomes a required ingredient from Level 7 onward. Two-handed muskets ascend with Tumbaga Ingot x9.

Precision primary (three of four muskets). Long-range engagement favors standing-still shots, which the Buccaneer's Friend perk doubles down on, and patient reload management. Infantry Musket breaks the mould with Agility scaling and a bayonet F-attack, so Agility saber users can slot it in without respeccing. Every musket demands a Master's Tools stockpile for the upgrade bands.
Muskets consume Gunpowder like the rest of the firearm family, and their long reload cycle makes ammunition discipline matter more here than on any other ranged weapon. Reloading comes in two forms: an active reload on the reload key, and a passive reload that runs on its own after you fire the weapon dry, which lets you empty the barrel and swap to melee while it readies the next shot.
The Reliable Musket shortens that cycle noticeably, so it can fire again well before a standard musket has finished reloading its first shot. Beyond crafting, the Infantry Musket is also sold by the Tortuga Goods Seller for 1,000 Piastre, the only ranged weapon in the current build with a listed vendor price.
