Lime Seeds is a Common tier seed in Windrose used to grow Lime. Unlike most Foothills crops, Lime plants directly on open ground rather than in a Seedbed, and it runs on the shared crop cycle of roughly one hour of real time. Every harvest refunds one seed, keeping the supply renewable.

How to Obtain

• Harvesting a wild Lime plant returns a Lime Seed roughly 50% of the time. Wild Lime clusters around the giant unchoppable trees in the Foothills.

• The Food Merchant sells Lime Seeds once the Foothills threat has been cleared.

• Harvesting a planted crop also refunds the seed used, so once you own one seed the loop is self sustaining.

Growth

Each harvest returns Lime fruit plus at least one Lime Seed (the exact numeric split is not yet documented in the data). The crop uses the one hour real time growth cycle shared by every plant in Windrose, and growth continues while the game is closed. There is no watering, no fertilizer, no sunlight requirement, and no wilt state.

The plant places directly on the ground without a Seedbed and without any Fertile Soil cost. That makes ground crops like Lime the cheapest renewable resource loop in the game, since the only investment is the first seed.

Uses

Lime feeds Sweet Lime Juice (Uncommon), Gazpacho (Epic), and a range of drinks and sauces across the Cooking Recipes tree. Because the fruit grows for free on the ground, keeping a few Lime plants running is an easy way to stock the juice and sauce recipes.

Notes

Lime is the exception inside the Foothills seed set: it grows directly on the ground rather than in a Seedbed, unlike Corn, Tomato, or Flax. Because it does not consume a Seedbed slot, Lime can be clustered freely around the base without competing with higher value crops.
