Overview
Iron Mug is a decorative dishes piece in Windrose. Like every item in this category it is a cosmetic kitchen and dining prop that raises the Comfort of a settlement when placed inside a sheltered base. It carries no combat or storage function; its value is the comfort bonus and the lived-in look it gives a captain's quarters.
Comfort and Placement
Once built, Iron Mug grants Comfort +1 in the dishes category. The bonus only applies while the piece sits within range of an active Bonfire, so it must be placed indoors near the hearth rather than out in the open. Comfort bonuses within the same category do not stack: setting out several Dishes pieces still only counts the single highest dishes bonus toward the total. To raise overall Comfort, mix one piece from each decoration category instead of crowding the room with duplicate dishes.
How to Unlock and Craft
The recipe for Iron Mug is taught by the Decoration: Elegant Iron Utensils plan, which unlocks the full range of pitchers, pots, bowls, and dishes in this set at once. That plan is part of the Spanish Caribbean Pack and can be purchased from the Provisioner vendor of the Smugglers of Port Royal for 4 Guinea at the first reputation level. After the plan is learned, each piece is built from local materials, so a single plan purchase covers every dish in the set.
Each Iron Mug costs 5 Foothills Iron Ingot to build. The ingots are smelted from iron ore gathered in the Foothills, making this set an early mid-game furnishing project once a steady iron supply is running. Finished pieces have 3,000 Max Health, so they survive incidental damage and can be picked up and moved without breaking.
Elegant Iron Utensils Set
Iron Mug is one of fifteen matching pieces taught by the same plan. Every piece shares the Comfort +1 Dishes bonus, the 3,000 Max Health, and the 5 Foothills Iron Ingot build cost, so they are interchangeable for comfort and chosen purely for looks. The complete set:

Tips
Build one piece from each decoration category rather than several dishes, since the dishes bonus does not stack with itself.
Keep the piece inside Bonfire range; a dish placed outside the hearth radius contributes no Comfort.
Buy the Decoration: Elegant Iron Utensils plan once to unlock the whole set, then craft the individual pieces as iron stock allows.
Progression Notes
Iron Mug is part of the crafting progression chain rather than a standalone collectible. Use the recipe, station, and ingredient rows to trace what unlocks it, what it consumes, and which linked upgrades or materials should be prepared before crafting it.
