Farming Tul and Magicite Fragments
October 23, 2026 at 11:03 PM
Added the rare Jewelrie tul opportunity
Tul and magicite fragments reward different kinds of preparation. Tul pays for items and upgrades, while fragments are spent forming magicite. A no-damage enemy-defeat chain raises the drop bonus, so avoiding a hit matters as much as defeating enemies quickly.
In the Age of Reconstruction, enter the Water Ruins and use the First Level. The farming spot is the eastern room north of the entrance area: an orb platform beside two aquatic snails.
Stand at the eastern edge of the platform by the orb. Use the Chain-Sickle to reach the orb and the two snails across the water.
Repeat the attacks as the enemies respawn. Avoid damage to preserve the three-star drop bonus.
Move Faie over the drops that land in the water and collect them before they blink out.
This route works with the Chain-Sickle's reach and repeated enemy spawns. The yield depends on the current drop bonus and accessories, so use the actual pickups to judge the result for the equipped setup.
Choose the effects that fit the available accessory slots. Equipment lists the rewards and other defensive choices.
Accessory | Farming effect |
|---|---|
Golden Egg | Increases tul dropped by enemies by 100%. |
Crystal Badge | Increases magicite fragments dropped by enemies by 100%. |
Gather Ring | Increases Faie's item-gathering range by 200%. |
Lotus Chain | Lets the first hit leave the drop bonus intact. Protection refreshes when the bonus level rises. |
Golden Egg targets tul, while Crystal Badge targets fragments. Gather Ring helps retrieve scattered drops, including those collected by Faie. Lotus Chain gives room for one mistake while building the chain.
Whiterea in the Age of Safekeeping or the Age of Reconstruction has many close-range enemies, making it useful for building the drop bonus. Watch for the orange werewolf's curved, returning projectile when keeping the chain intact.
An early/demo alternative route visits the Age of Reconstruction's Whiterea wolf camps and Northern Caves, their Age of Safekeeping counterparts, then the Eastern Eddartrayl desert. This is an early/demo alternative for the areas already open.
Method | How to use it |
|---|---|
Dungeon bosses | Collect the fragment drops after defeating a boss. |
Blue chests | Some contain finished magicite, saving the fragments that formation would otherwise require. |
The Novice Trial entry screen offers five levels for 50 tul, with 30-60 magicite fragments among the rewards. | |
Disassembly | Recycle unwanted magicite for a limited fragment refund; keep pieces useful for a current or planned build. |
Forming magicite raises Form Rank. At Form Rank 5, formation for a chosen weapon type unlocks, allowing farming to support a more focused build. See Magicite for formation and capacity details.
Eligible Trials of Mana players can claim the Laurentian Plumage gift on the second floor of the Huther Orphanage, then speak to Riesz by the northwestern wall in Safekeeping Huther for 350 tul. This is a one-time reward. Items describes the claim route; Editions and Preorder Bonuses gives the supported platform and save or account requirements.
If a Jewelrie appears, quick repeated hits release tul. Use fast attacks, keep it near a corner and defeat it before it shines and disappears. Escaping Jewelries do not count for Monster of Fortune; Enemies and Bosses includes encounter tactics. Treat this as a rare opportunity rather than a guaranteed repeatable route.
Easy difficulty halves ordinary shop item prices: for example, a bomb priced at 10 tul on Normal costs 5 tul on Easy. Magicite formation and Magicite Box upgrades keep their usual costs.
Want for Nothing tracks a cumulative 10,000 tul acquired. See Trophies and Achievements for that goal and the separate combat milestones.
Repeat trial entries still cost tul, so account for that fee when comparing them with ordinary enemy routes. A defeat inside the temple returns Elliot to its entrance without a death penalty.
