Overview

Youfang is a young monk and the island's fortune teller, living in a temple atop Bastrom Heights. His master assigned him to Starsand Island to grow his spiritual ability and safeguard the island's spiritual line. Although he may not look the part, he has genuine talent for what he does and serves as the island's spiritual leader.

Youfang is one of 15 romanceable characters. His romance path is steeped in mysticism and intrigue. It does not follow the usual path, making it one of the more unique options in the game. See the relationship system article for how Affection Points and heart levels work.

Personality

Youfang is kind, laid-back, and calm, with a detached wisdom that sets him apart from the other islanders. He speaks thoughtfully and carries himself with an air of quiet confidence. His carefree attitude can make him seem distant, but he is genuinely warm once you get to know him. He spends most of his time at the temple, far from the bustle of town.

Where to find Youfang

Youfang lives in the first large temple in Bastrom Heights, the mountain peak area of the island. To reach him, follow the blue hydrangeas that snake up the mountain roads. He is a solitary resident, far from Starsand Town most of the time.

His bedroom is inside the main Bastrom Temple, but you need at least 3 hearts before you can enter.

How to track Youfang

Once you have interacted with Youfang, his contact appears in your phone's Social app.

• Locate: Shows his current position on the map and draws a route to get there.

• Follow: Tracks his movements in real time. His location appears as a flag that moves with him.

Tracking is especially useful for Youfang since he lives far from town and can be hard to find without it.

Quests and role

Youfang serves as the island's fortune teller in Bastrom Heights. He is also involved in the Senior Exploration Trial questline, where he asks you to bring him Echo Beans and Eldergrains. Eldergrains can be found around the entrance of the Harvest Yard. This quest is part of the Explorer profession progression managed by Zephyria.

Romance

Youfang's romance is one of the most unconventional in the game. Fitting for a fortune-telling monk living on a mountaintop. His arc is steeped in mysticism and does not follow the typical progression of other characters. His unique interactions include reading together.

Note: Some players have reported that the "move in together" option does not appear at Heart Level 5 for Youfang. This is a confirmed Early Access bug reported on the Steam community, he is officially listed as a romanceable character and should support moving in.

At Heart Level 3, you can enter his bedroom inside the main Bastrom Temple, which contains a treasure chest with exclusive decor.
