The in-game description reads: "Plain noodles with almost no seasoning, simple and clean." Despite its humble nature, Plain Noodles holds a unique position in the game as one of the most practical items you can produce. It serves triple duty as an early-game stamina food, a reliable source of income, and a near-universal gift that almost every NPC on the island likes.

The recipe is one of the first you unlock through the Apprentice Farmer Trial, and the sole ingredient is Flour, which is processed from Wheat at a Separator. Because Wheat grows in all four seasons and matures in just 1.4 days, Plain Noodles can be mass-produced year-round with minimal effort. Many players keep a permanent stockpile of Plain Noodles in their inventory for stamina recovery, daily NPC gifting, and supplemental income.

NPC Gift Preferences

Where to Get the Recipe

Since each batch of Plain Noodles requires 4 Flour, you need 4 Wheat per serving (2 Wheat produces 2 Flour, so 4 Wheat produces 4 Flour). With each Wheat plant yielding 4 Wheat per harvest, a single plant provides exactly enough Wheat for one serving of Plain Noodles.

The Separator is an early crafting station built from Stone x3, Softwood x3, and Fiber x5. If you plan to produce Plain Noodles in large quantities, build two or three Separators to process Wheat into Flour more quickly.
