Luminwave is one of three offshore deep-sea fishing zones in Starsand Island, alongside the Coral Sea and Celestwave. Known for its bioluminescent waters, Luminwave contains rare fish species that glow in the dark and are found nowhere else on the island. It is a high-difficulty zone that requires strong fishing rods and good bait selection.
Luminwave is reached via the Parrot Ship from Starsand Port. You must first complete the Starsand Port Construction quest (15 Stone + 15 Softwood) to open the port. Once operational, speak to Marston and select Luminwave from the Parrot Ship destinations.
Luminwave fish are characterized by bioluminescent traits. They are rarer and harder to catch than Coral Sea species but less challenging than Celestwave's endgame fish. Many Luminwave catches are highly valued for selling and are used in advanced cooking recipes. Check the all fish article for the complete species list.

Luminwave is the mid-tier deep-sea zone. Progress through Coral Sea first to build experience before tackling Luminwave fish.
The Noble Rod is the bare minimum here. Fish will snap your line frequently with anything weaker.
Bring all three bait types. Luminwave has more variety in bait requirements than the Coral Sea.
Bioluminescent fish sell for premium prices. A successful Luminwave trip is one of the best money-making activities in the game.
Some Luminwave fish are seasonal. Visit across multiple seasons to complete your collection.
