Ounces

Rewrote with the in-game currency description, its listed sources, and where Ounces are spent; removed the placeholder expansion notice
Ounces are the standard base currency in Silver Palace. Unlike Reactor Crystals (which are used for gacha pulls), Ounces serve as the everyday currency for general-purpose transactions and character progression.
Ounces are the money of everyday life in Silvernia. The in-game description presents them as a currency issued by the royal families and minted from diluted, stabilised Silverium of fixed concentration, stored in siphon tubes; drawn out, the liquid metal forms a granule protected by an oxidised coating that makes it easy to handle and trade. The flavour text that accompanies it leans on the same idea of circulation: an ounce buys flowers, an ounce buys oblivion, and it never stays in anyone's hands for long.
They are spent on ordinary purchases rather than on character acquisition, which is what separates them from Reactor Crystals. The two documented sinks are the Sterling Market, which stocks advancement materials and the basic Motives for each character type, and the food and drink vendors scattered around the city, including the stationary Auto Vendors that sell consumables directly for Ounces.
During the Monotype Beta, players received 100,000 Ounces as a Day 1 sign-in bonus. The second closed beta made the ongoing earn rate visible: the daily objective track on City Roaming pays 5,000 Ounces at the 20-Step milestone, which is also the total for a full daily clear.
The item's own description lists five sources:
Daily Prep - Funds Gathering, a repeatable daily activity.
Info Exchange, the trade-in counter for information gathered around the city.
Cognito Assembly.
City Events, the timed activities that appear around Silvernia.
City Exploration, meaning chests, puzzles and points of interest found in the open world.
Commission and quest rewards pay in Ounces as well: the business-expansion commissions documented from the second beta hand over a few thousand at a time alongside Reactor Crystals. Whether Ounces can be bought with real money has not been confirmed.
Ounces sit at the bottom of the currency stack: freely earned, spent constantly, and never the bottleneck on character acquisition. The figures on this page come from the two closed beta builds and are the kind of number most likely to be retuned before release.
Beta testers reported that Ounces accumulated quickly through routine play, with the 100,000-Ounce Day 1 sign-in bonus enough to cover early progression spending without grinding. The Sterling Market gives a sense of the other end of the scale: its headline Motives were listed at 50,000 Ounces each with a stock of one, while common materials sat at 1,000 Ounces with stock in the dozens. Pricing at launch will decide how durable the early surplus is.
