Trinkets in Romestead are accessory items that occupy a dedicated trinket slot and provide permanent stat bonuses or unique effects. They are found in dungeons (random enchants apply to dungeon trinkets since patch 0.23.1_3) and dropped by bosses and rare enemies.

Dungeon-found trinkets can roll random enchants since patch 0.23.1_3. Pilum cannot get random enchants since patch 0.21.1_6, distinguishing trinkets from weapons in this system. The general Modifiers system also applies.
A character has one trinket slot. To swap effects mid-run, players use the inventory swap menu; this is one of the reasons inventory sorting (added in patch 0.23.1_3) makes a meaningful difference. Multi-character co-op groups can equip different trinkets across the party to cover more bonuses simultaneously.
Boss drops: Pyzifax (Fools' Gold, Gardener's Gloves, Locusta Legatus, Physician's Cloak).
Cyclops drop: Signet of Demo Completion.
Dungeon chests: random rolls with random enchants.
Points of Interest supply crates: occasional trinket rolls.
Market: rare stock from a leveled Merchant citizen.
