Added town spirit image to Mundus Cerialis participation details
Mundus Cerialis is Romestead's first seasonal event. It began on October 1, 2026 with version 0.26.2_3 and runs throughout October. The event adds one boss fight, four equipment items and an enemy variant.
Detail | Requirement or behavior |
|---|---|
Seasonal window | October 2026, starting October 1 |
Progression requirement | Progress through the Desert and defeat its bosses |
Starting point | Speak to the friendly spirit in town; it appears the following day after the progression requirement is met |
Recommended equipment | End-game gear |
New world required | No; existing worlds can play the event |
New content | One boss fight, four equipment items and a new enemy variant |
After the event | The friendly spirit leaves; saved challenge-starting items remain and allow replays |
Progress through the Desert and defeat its bosses. The friendly spirit appears in your town the next day. Speak to it to participate in Mundus Cerialis.

End-game equipment is recommended for the challenge. For equipment progression, see Crafting and Progression.
Keep the items that start the in-game challenge. They do not disappear when the seasonal event ends, so the challenge remains replayable if you have saved them. The friendly spirit does leave when the event is over.
Mundus Cerialis does not require a new world. It can be played in an existing world once the progression requirement is met.
The event was not fully localized when it launched. Translations are being completed over time. Romestead's general language support is listed on System Requirements.
Version 0.26.2_3 also added a respawn timer after death, increased respawn time while a boss is active, increased chest health and changed pathfinding with the aim of making enemies and animals less inclined to run into water.
Hotfix 0.26.2_4 (October 6, 2026) fixed an issue where the Ghostly Worshipper would duplicate. See Updates and Patches for the wider patch history.
