Consumables and Potions
August 26, 2026 at 04:03 PM
Corrected the Aloe Salve effect to burn immunity and fire resistance, added the full health potion ladder and Cauldron build cost, and added Major Energy Potion
Consumables and potions in Romestead are single-use items that restore stats, cure conditions, or briefly buff a stat. The Cauldron is the primary crafting station for liquid consumables; bakery food handles longer-duration buffs (see Food and Cooking).
Tier | Base Potion | Upgraded Grades | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
Minor | Minor Health Potion | Minor Health Potion+, Minor Health Potion++ | The starter heal. |
Standard | Health Potion | Health Potion+, Health Potion++ | The middle step of the ladder. |
Major | Major Health Potion | Major Health Potion+, Major Health Potion++ | The largest restore of the three. |
The Cauldron itself is crafted from 4 Copper Bar and needs a Blacksmith at job level 1. Its recipe list covers the + and ++ grades of all three health potion tiers, so the upgraded grades are made at the Cauldron rather than looted. The Cauldron health potion recipe was fixed in patch 0.22.1_5. Health potions are essential before boss fights, especially the 10,000 HP Cyclops endurance test.
Energy Potion: restores energy used for blocking, dodging, and sprinting. Balanced in patches 0.20.1_14 and 0.20.2_2 (nerfed) and 0.20.2_1 (further nerf).
Major Energy Potion: the larger energy restore of the two.
Antidote: cures poison. Crafted from Poison Gland and herbal inputs.
Aloe Salve: grants immunity to burn damage and raises fire resistance by 20% for five minutes. Crafted at the Cauldron from 4 Aloe Vera, 1 Empty Pot, and 2 Mint, or found in regular chests in the Volcano biome.
Major Poison: inflict poison on target.
Poison Mushroom: harmful when consumed.
Venus' Perfume: a Venus-aligned consumable themed to her domain.
Pots are placeable consumables that deal area damage or status effects when thrown. The Small Pot can be crafted at the Pottery for throwing or catapulting (patch 0.20.1_23).
Small Pot: basic throwable.
Massive Pot: larger area effect.
Explosive Pot: explosion damage; one of the few things that damages the Desert Boss when immune (patch 0.19.2_2).
Incendiary Pot: sets ground on fire; can be triggered by fire (patch 0.22.1_6 era).
Lightning Pot: electric area damage.
Poison Pot: leaves a poison pool.
Some consumables provide unique effects. The Knuckle Dash ability scales with other unarmed damage buffs since patch 0.21.1_8. Bakery dishes (see Food and Cooking) stack with potion effects for layered combat preparation.
Combat: how consumables fit into combat preparation.
Resources and Materials: inputs for potions.
Trinkets: permanent accessory effects vs single-use potions.
