Overview

Porygon2 is a Normal-type Pokemon that can be befriended in Pokemon Pokopia. It has the Recycle specialty, shared with Porygon, Beldum, Metang, Metagross, and others. The Recycle specialty converts waste materials (like Wastepaper and Nonburnable Garbage) into useful resources like Paper and Iron Ore.

For the Rarify specialty that converts Star Pieces into Rare Pokemetal, see Porygon-Z, which is the only Pokemon with that specialty.

The Porygon Line in Pokopia

Porygon-Z is the most important of the three for late-game progression. Rare Pokemetal is required for crafting the Tidal Bell and Clear Bell used to summon Lugia and Ho-Oh.

How to Befriend

Porygon2 can be befriended by building its habitat. Check the Habitat Dex at any Pokemon Center PC for the specific configuration. Porygon2 requires technology-themed habitat elements consistent with its digital nature.

Tips

• Having both Porygon2 (Recycle) and Trubbish/Garbodor (also Recycle) in your town speeds up waste processing significantly.

• Porygon2 is particularly useful in Bleak Beach and Sparkling Skylands where Nonburnable Garbage and Wastepaper are abundant.
