Gimmighoul is a Ghost-type Pokemon with the exclusive Collect specialty in Pokemon Pokopia. It appears in its Chest Form, living inside a red treasure chest in the abandoned museum in Rocky Ridges. Gimmighoul exchanges Lost Relics, Rainbow Feathers, and Silver Feathers for unique furniture items, making it the primary way to convert collectibles into decorations.
Gimmighoul is located in the abandoned museum in Rocky Ridges:
Reach Rocky Ridges (the third story region).
Face the Pokemon Center and look to the right. There is a pile of Volcanic Ash blocks.
Break through the Volcanic Ash blocks using Rock Smash.
Follow the path into the hidden museum area.
Find the red treasure chest sitting on a podium.
Interact with it. Gimmighoul pops out and introduces itself.
Gimmighoul has the Collect specialty, which is exclusive to this Pokemon. No other Pokemon in Pokopia has it. The Collect specialty enables Gimmighoul to accept specific collectible items and exchange them for rare furniture.
After completing Gimmighoul's initial request ("Show Off a Rainbow Feather"), you can trade the following items:
Item | Result | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Small Lost Relic (appraised) | Random furniture item | Must be appraised by Professor Tangrowth first |
Large Lost Relic (appraised) | Rare furniture item | Must be appraised by Professor Tangrowth first |
Rainbow Feather | 200 Life Coins + random furniture | |
Silver Feather | 200 Life Coins + random furniture | Found after Lugia appears; use Cut to dispel wind before pickup |
Important: Lost Relics must be appraised by Professor Tangrowth before Gimmighoul will accept them. Unappraised relics are rejected.
Build the Mini Museum habitat to give Gimmighoul a permanent home:
Material | Quantity | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Post (any) | 3 | Wooden or stone posts |
Pedestal / Exhibition Stand | 1 | Craft at Workbench |
Large Lost Relic | 1 | Find in Glowing Blocks and appraise with Tangrowth |
The Large Lost Relic requirement makes this habitat one of the trickier ones to complete, since Large Relics are rarer drops from Glowing Blocks.
Gimmighoul's trades are the primary method for converting exploration rewards into decorative furniture. To maximize your returns:
Feed Mosslax Dry food daily to increase Rainbow and Silver Feather drop rates.
Feed Mosslax Sweet food when relic hunting to boost Ancient Artifact finds in Glowing Blocks.
Use a Search-specialty Pokemon (Pidgey, Paras, Venonat) as your follower to locate hidden Glowing Blocks more efficiently.
Appraise every relic as soon as you find it. Professor Tangrowth can appraise from anywhere if set as a follower.
Visit Dream Islands for additional Glowing Block spawns and relic opportunities.

Specialty | Collect (exclusive) |
Habitat | Mini Museum (3 Posts, 1 Pedestal, 1 Large Lost Relic) |
Location | Rocky Ridges (hidden museum behind Volcanic Ash blocks) |

Break through the Volcanic Ash blocks near the Rocky Ridges Pokemon Center as soon as you arrive. Gimmighoul is easy to miss if you do not explore the side paths.
Stockpile appraised relics before visiting Gimmighoul. Batch trading is more efficient than making individual trips.
Rainbow and Silver Feathers are also needed to craft the Clear Bell (for Ho-Oh) and Tidal Bell (for Lugia). Balance your feather spending between Gimmighoul trades and bell crafting.
The furniture you receive from trades is random. Keep trading for a chance at rare and unique pieces.
