Dive

Corrected the description from future tense to released, and added the other Version 2.0.0 additions including the portal pod and safe
Dive is a move added to Pokemon Pokopia in the free Version 2.0.0 update on August 5, 2026. It lets Ditto swim below the surface and opens up underwater exploration and building for every player.
The Mythical Pokemon Manaphy teaches Ditto the move once you meet these requirements:
Complete the request Raise the environment level! in Bleak Beach.
Be able to jump. Jump is one of the early Ditto Transformations moves.
Version 2.0.0 is free, so the move reaches every player whether or not they buy the Expansion Pass.

Dive extends the game's normal building loop beneath the water: the same grass planting, structure placement, and town creation systems work on the ocean floor. The update also adds these underwater abilities:
Build houses and structures underwater with the Build specialty.
Create underwater crop fields.
Extend railway tracks from land into the sea and ride them by handcar.
Use Strength underwater.

Pokemon such as Magikarp, Psyduck, Piplup, and Vaporeon swim alongside Ditto below the surface. Owners of the Expansion Pass also gain access to Bubbly Basin, an underwater town with 50 of its own Pokedex entries.
Dive itself is free. The paid Expansion Pass uses Dive as an entry requirement for Bubbly Basin, its underwater town released the same day. If you skip the pass, you still get Dive and full underwater building on your own island.
Dive shipped as part of a broad free update. Alongside underwater movement, Version 2.0.0 added the portal pod and the safe as new craftable items, with their recipes unlocked by raising a town's environment level. It also added the dynamic Ditto print pattern, learned from Smearguru after you earn the diploma, two emotes (Lie Down and Ready, Set, Go), and five hair colors: orange, light pink, yellow-green, blue-green, and brown.
Learn Surf and raise the Bleak Beach environment level first; both are prerequisites you can finish before Manaphy appears.
Smoothies, a food added with Bubbly Basin, power up Surf and pair well with underwater travel.
Companion Pokemon can follow you while you use Surf, Glide, Rollout, or Magnet Rise as of Version 2.0.0.
