Bubbly Basin is an underwater town added to Pokemon Pokopia on August 5, 2026 as Part 1 of the paid Expansion Pass. It is the first town in the game set beneath the sea.
Bubbly Basin is a town on the ocean floor that you rebuild together with Popplio and Ditto. The area brings ocean floor-themed furniture, new outfits, new prepared food, and its own roster of Pokemon to move in. Your existing save data carries over; the town adds onto your current island rather than replacing it.
Own the Expansion Pass ($34.99), which covers all three DLC parts.
Complete the request Raise the environment level! in Bleak Beach.
Learn Dive, the move added by the free Version 2.0.0 update released the same day. Manaphy teaches it once you meet the requirements.

Bubbly Basin adds its own Pokedex section with 50 entries, including the Mythical Pokemon Manaphy and Phione. The area also introduces new underwater habitat types (36 in total), from decorative spaces to functional areas such as Basin tall grass, coral formations, and seaweed beds. Dive itself is free for everyone; only the Bubbly Basin town requires the Expansion Pass.
Finish the Bleak Beach environment level request before buying if you want to enter the town right away.
Generate specialists keep bubble machines running, so bring Pokemon like Chinchou or Pincurchin when you settle in.
The Fetching Scales for Feebas event does not take place in Bubbly Basin, so return to your main island between August 13 and 28, 2026 to take part.
