Overview
Runaway Echoes is a limited-time event in Neverness to Everness that opened with the September 9, 2026 Version 1.3 Phase 2 update and runs until September 30, 2026 at 05:59 (UTC+8). The update notes describe it with one line, "Be the last one standing!", and frame it as a quest-driven event: completing its quests earns a title and a bundle of standard progression currency. It was first named on the mobile-storefront release notes for Version 1.3 in August, which listed it alongside Breezy Tour as part of the version without saying when it would open; the September 9 notes settled that both belong to the second phase.

The first-party notes do not publish the event's rules, its map, or a per-quest reward breakdown, and no official guide article had been posted for it as of September 21, 2026. The Chinese-server client received two no-downtime hotfixes on September 4 and September 9 that changed an event with an endless-challenge mode, talent nodes, skill cards, a 60-minute settlement limit and a save-and-exit option; that event's Chinese name shares the "echoes" wording, but the global notes do not confirm the two are the same mode, so those mechanics are not attributed to Runaway Echoes here.
Rewards in Context
The reward list mirrors the other Version 1.3 limited events. Annulith feeds the Gacha System, Fabricated Dice roll the standard board, Fons pays for vehicles and property, Floe Cinema Tickets are spent on Floe Cinema pulls, and Heterogeneous Units are character ascension material. The "Unbroken Echo" title is the only reward unique to the event, so players who do not care about titles can treat Runaway Echoes as a currency source and prioritise it behind Shipwreck Salvage and Volley Star if short on time before the September 30 close.
