The time panel in the bottom-left of the screen lets players control the speed of the game. Click the speed number to select it, and click it again to pause. A slider below the speed arrows allows speeds up to 30x. Above 5x speed, movement controls and autonomy toggles are disabled.
The default length of one in-game day is 90 minutes of real time. Players can adjust this in Game Options > Simulation. The shortest setting is 48 minutes per day, and the longest stretches a single day to 24 real-world hours. Changing day length only affects how fast time passes. It does not increase a Zoi's overall lifespan.
inZOI has four seasons: spring, summer, fall, and winter. Each season lasts 7 in-game days. At the default day length, that works out to roughly 11 hours of real time per season at 1x speed.
Temperature changes across seasons. Summer brings higher temperatures, winter brings lower.
Zois automatically adjust their clothing to the current temperature, wearing thicker layers in cold weather and lighter outfits when it's warm.
Weather patterns shift with the seasons, affecting outdoor activities and city atmosphere.
A calendar system was introduced in the December 2025 update. Bills arrive every Friday, and social events can be scheduled through the phone's Events app by selecting open timeslots.
