Multi-Job System
April 25, 2026 at 10:41 AM
Initial version
The Multi-Job System is a planned expansion of inZOI's career framework that will let a single Zoi hold multiple jobs simultaneously. The system was originally announced as part of the Q2 2026 update under the Jobs and Freelancing pillar but was confirmed deferred in the April 24, 2026 community letter from Director Hyungjun Kim. As of April 25, 2026, the feature is in active development and has not yet shipped on the live build (v0.7.5).
This article documents what has been confirmed publicly. Specific salary multipliers, exhaustion penalties, and scheduling rules are not yet finalised. See 2026 Roadmap and April 2026 Update for the timeline context.
Director Kjun's roadmap and weekly developer updates have described the Multi-Job System as bundling several related career upgrades into one delivery. The April 24 letter named these explicitly as features that had been prepared but were not ready for the May patch.
Component | Description |
|---|---|
Multiple Simultaneous Jobs | A single Zoi can hold more than one job at a time. Schedules from each job are merged into one combined daily plan. |
Job Interviews | Adding a job triggers an interview rather than instant hiring. Interview outcomes are tied to relevant skills, traits, and reputation. |
Promotions and Performance Evaluations | Each held job tracks performance independently. Evaluations factor in attendance, task completion, and Zoi traits. |
Collaborative Tasks | Some workplaces will introduce shared tasks where multiple Zois (player or NPC) cooperate on assignments rather than working solo. |
Vacations | Earned time-off accrues per job. Zois can request leave; granted vacations affect coworker workload and relationships. |
Remote Work | Some careers will allow remote work options, letting a Zoi clock hours from home rather than commuting to a workplace. |
Retirement and Pensions | An expanded retirement system is bundled with the multi-job rollout. Pensions are tied to career length and rank reached. |
Weekly Income for Created Content | The revenue model for player-created content shifts from one-time payments to a weekly income structure, making creative businesses more sustainable. |
Alongside the multi-job changes, KRAFTON has confirmed a freelance system that adds side work Zois can pursue alongside their main employment. Two confirmed freelance threads:
Freelance Delivery Career: Already shipped in the v0.7.0 anniversary update on March 26, 2026. See Freelance Delivery Career for the live implementation.
Additional freelance career paths: Writing, game development, photography, and blogging confirmed as formal freelance career paths in the roadmap. Not yet released.
Date | Status |
|---|---|

March 26, 2026 | Roadmap reaffirmed; multi-job slipped from Q1 to Q2 (April). |
April 17, 2026 | Director Kjun's community letter realigned 1.0 to early 2027 and named multi-job as still in development. |
April 24, 2026 | Confirmed deferred past May 2026. The team's priority through April and May is stabilisation and strengthening foundational systems before the next large content drop. |
Current target | Not specified. Bundled with the next major content patch. |
Currently, a Zoi can only hold one career at a time. Adding a new career replaces the existing one. The existing system uses a daily promotion task system on active jobs and standard daily payouts on rabbit-hole jobs. See Active vs Rabbit Hole Careers for the current model. The Multi-Job System will introduce job stacking as a new mode rather than replacing the existing single-career flow.
Specific design details that have not been confirmed publicly as of April 2026:
Maximum number of simultaneous jobs per Zoi.
How the existing single-job promotion task structure adapts to overlapping schedules.
Whether business ownership counts as a job slot or remains separate.
Pension calculation formula and minimum service time.
Vacation accrual rate and conflict handling between jobs.
Whether remote work applies to existing rabbit-hole careers or only new ones.
