Initial version
Crime Score is a hidden meter in inZOI that tracks how much criminal activity a Zoi has committed. As Crime Score increases, police NPCs become more likely to pursue and arrest the Zoi. The system was expanded with the Trial and Justice System introduced in update v0.5.0 (December 2025).
Action | Crime Score Impact |
|---|---|
Punching another Zoi | Low increase |
Starting a fight | Moderate increase |
Shoplifting / Stealing | Moderate increase |
Destroying property | Moderate increase |
Robbing ATMs | High increase |
Extorting police officers | High increase |
Working as a Gangster | Gradual increase over time |
At low Crime Score levels, police may issue warnings or ignore minor offenses. As the score rises, police NPCs actively search for and chase the Zoi. At very high Crime Score, police arrest the Zoi on sight, regardless of current activity.
When arrested, the Zoi is transported to jail. Jail is a playable space with basic amenities: a bed, toilet, sink, vending machine, and smartphone access. Zois wear orange jumpsuits while incarcerated. The sentence lasts approximately 24 in-game hours. Manual release becomes available after 4 AM, with automatic release at 9 AM the following day.
Crime Score decreases gradually over time when the Zoi avoids criminal activity. Serving jail time also reduces Crime Score. Maintaining good Karma and performing positive social actions may help offset criminal reputation, though the Crime Score and Karma systems operate independently.
Karma: Criminal actions lower Karma alongside increasing Crime Score. Both systems track bad behavior but have different consequences.
Gangster Career: The highest-paying career in the game, but working it raises Crime Score over time.
Criminal Careers: All criminal career paths interact with the Crime Score system.
Prison and Jail: The destination for Zois arrested at high Crime Score.
