Cleanliness

Cleanliness measures how clean or dirty a home is. Low cleanliness negatively impacts Zoi mood and accelerates Hygiene need depletion. Dirty clothes specifically make a Zoi Uncomfortable, and poor home cleanliness strains family relationships.
The Home Information Screen (accessible from the right-side menu or Edit City) shows a cleanliness meter and the count of dirty Zois. Visually, dirty homes develop a marbled, dusty appearance on furniture, floors, and rugs.
Mop -- 15 Meow. Quick dirt removal, three consecutive cleans per use.
Broom -- 18 Meow. Least efficient, works outdoors, three consecutive cleans.
Cordless Vacuum -- 35 Meow. Standard cleaning, five consecutive cleans.
Premium Cordless Vacuum -- 450 Meow. Larger coverage, five cleans. Requires Housework level 3.
Click dirty surfaces and select a tool. Cleaning floor sections ("Clean Here") is more efficient than individual furniture pieces. You can also select a Zoi, choose a cleaning action, and pick multi-action options (Clean 3 or 5 times) for autonomous cleaning.
Open Smartphone > Pocket Market > Home Services > Cleaning. Two options: Spick-And-Span Cleaning (100 Meow, about one hour) and Good-As-New Cleaning (500 Meow, about two hours). You must click the cleaner when they arrive and invite them in before they start.
Dirty clothes require a washing machine (found in Build Mode > Furniture > Bathroom). Adults and Teenagers click the machine and select "Wash Laundry." Children can't do laundry themselves -- select the child, click the machine, and choose a family member to help. To automate laundry, set it as a preference in Zoi Card > Edit Preferences.
