Springbrook Ancient Battlefield (春溪古战场, Chūnxī Gǔ Zhànchǎng) is a sub-region within the Springbrook Plainsunlocked partway through the Jixia Chapter 2 'Tongyou Anomaly' story quest. Players arriving from Suhuai Camp (溯洄营地) pass through this battlefield before reaching the gates of Youjing City (幽径城), where the chapter's main story continues.

Unlock and Waystone

Activating the waystone at Springbrook Ancient Battlefield adds a permanent fast-travel anchor. This is one of the earliest optional travel points a new player unlocks beyond the starting plain, and it streamlines backtracking between the early Springbrook Plains and Youjing City after story progression.

Unlike the soft creekside aesthetic of the starting area, the old battlefield leans darker and heavier, using weathered bronze fittings, collapsed columns, and mossy rubble that read as older than the Spring Creek civilization that followed. The set-dressing ties it to the broader pre-Jixia ruins worldbuilding the developers use throughout the plain.

Gameplay Function

Springbrook Ancient Battlefield functions as a transition corridor and collection zone. The zone catalogues treasure chests (宝箱), 赋神令 (Fate Tokens or Spirit Decrees), and puzzle sites in and around the battlefield. Players who completed Chapter 1 can revisit it freely after the Chapter 2 unlock to clear any remaining collectibles missed during the linear main-story push.

Story Context

Story context ties Springbrook Ancient Battlefield to the same historical military events referenced in other Jixia relics. Fragments of a former civilization whose fall predates the founding of Jixia Academy are still shaping the terrain.
