Lester

Lester is a novice in the Brotherhood of the Sleeper and one of the Four Friends. He is usually found near the entrance to the Swamp Camp, where he acts as a diplomat and first point of contact for newcomers.

Skeptical Cultist

Unlike many of the Brotherhood, Lester is grounded and skeptical. He is committed to his camp, but he is also willing to ask awkward questions about the Gurus, the ceremonies, and the promises the Sleeper is making. This scepticism makes him one of the most useful voices for any Nameless Hero trying to understand the Swamp Camp without committing to it first.

Role for the Player

Lester is the character who opens Chapter 2 for the Hero by pointing him toward the Gurus' search for a focus stone. Regardless of camp choice, the Hero will normally return to him at least once during the campaign.
