Cronos is one of the Water Mages living inside the New Camp. His main role in the campaign is as the gatekeeper between New Camp recruits and Saturas, the Water Circle's leader.

Chapter Role

In Chapter 3, after the events at the Swamp Camp, Cronos is the mage who reveals the password the Nameless Hero needs to formally approach Saturas. That password is the last soft lock between the Hero and the Water Circle's inner sanctum.

Position in the Water Circle

Cronos is below Saturas but above the entry-level Water Mages. He is one of the senior gatekeepers a Hero pursuing the magic path through the New Camp will deal with as he proves himself useful to the camp's research goals around the Barrier. The exact nature of his individual research has not been publicly detailed by Alkimia ahead of launch.

Relationship to the Hero

Cronos is not openly hostile to a new arrival, but he keeps Saturas insulated from anyone who has not yet earned access. A Hero who reaches him without first running errands for the camp will be deflected; a Hero who has done the work for Lares or the Mercenaries will find Cronos a much shorter conversation.
