Zerberus is a portable firearm built for one person. Its description states it was adjusted specifically for Troy, that its attacks count as magic rather than as a physical hit, and that it unlocks the Compressed Laser combat art. It is one of two guns confirmed for Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, and the only one with a published stat line.

Stats

Might, Weight, Hit and critical rate have not been published. The fields below are the ones that carry a value.

Five Uses is the smallest durability figure on the published roster, and against the 20 to 40 Uses ordinary weapons carry it is very small indeed. Since durability drains only on Combat Arts, that figure caps how often Compressed Laser can be used rather than how many ordinary shots the gun has in it. The A rank is also the highest requirement published for any weapon so far, so Zerberus is not a weapon a low-rank unit could pick up even if the personal restriction were lifted.

Guns Are Gauntlets

Firearms are a real weapon category in this setting, not a visual flourish, and they are filed under gauntlets. That is a mechanical decision as much as a taxonomic one: gauntlets in this game improve the wielder's ability to evade attacks, so a gun user gets the evasion bonus while shooting from two tiles away. The August 2026 presentation flagged the same thing in passing, promising "gauntlets that look like firearms" among the unique weapons to find. The other gun on the roster, Salamander, appears in the hands of Anatolia.

Compressed Laser

Compressed Laser is the combat art Zerberus grants, and the English name is the localised one that appears in the weapon's own description. The Japanese art name is 過圧縮光弾, which renders literally as something closer to an "overcompressed light bullet". That literal reading is a translation of the Japanese flavour text rather than a second official name, so it is offered here only as background on where the localised term came from. Only the English form should be treated as the art's name.

The Bearer

Troy is a member of the Promised One's Army, the group that forms around Eshmel in the ruined 1454 era. She is described as having known several successive rulers of Saramis, and maintaining weaponry is listed among the things she likes, which fits a character who carries a machined firearm rather than a sword. She joins in the second prologue chapter.

Name

Zerberus is the German form of Cerberus, the many-headed hound that guards the Greek underworld and stops the dead from leaving. The Japanese name, ツェルベルス, transliterates the German rather than the Greek. Given how much of the late story turns on the underworld and the dead who will not stay in it, the choice reads as deliberate.
