Leveling and Skirmishes
October 24, 2026 at 07:58 AM
Added leveling methods, enemy respawn limits and expedition resource planning
Use fights and support actions to train weaker units while managing shared expedition resources. The EXP Boon, bought with Karma Shards, improves the training plan; Notable Deeds supplies those shards.
Method | Planning detail |
|---|---|
Killing blows | Give a suitable weaker unit the finishing attack |
Healing and support | Useful experience without requiring a kill |
Dungeon encounters | Enemies return after advancing the chapter, rather than simply leaving and re-entering |
Inn Combat activity | Trades a chosen amount of time for training |
Part II Training Drills | Uses the chapter's Army Action through the Dispatch Officer |
Cai Chapter 5 bait attempts | A failed meat-bait capture can attract beasts |
Dietrich's Answerer's Cry | Available from Chapter 4 and reveals special skirmishes |
Leda's opened locations | New searchable nodes can also contain enemies |
Occupied nodes show the enemy type and level, and apparently empty nodes can hide encounters. Retreat from preparation if the party is unready; a blocking encounter still has to be cleared to pass. Silver Mummies offer experience, while Gold Mummies carry saleable Bullion. Both can flee or fight other enemies.
Free-time fights retain HP loss and spent spell uses. Recover with an inn, Feast or dungeon Rest Spot, or refill when the main quest starts. Only foes revealed by Answerer's Cry award its Magic Echo Shards and Renown.
