Boons of Salvation are optional bonuses in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave that make a run easier or cheaper: more experience from battle, lower prices in shops, cheaper blessings and similar. They are bought with Karma Shards, which are earned by completing Notable Deeds, the game's in-game achievements. All three belong to the save file rather than to any one route, and the Notable Deeds list is kept at the Pale Raven's Perch. In the Japanese version the Notable Deeds are 偉業録 and the Boons are 救世の祝福.
Notable Deeds
Notable Deeds are tasks such as obtaining a number of pieces of ore, searching gathering spots a number of times or viewing a number of support conversations. There are a great many of them, and progress counts globally, so they can be completed across different routes and across replays of the same route. The list can be checked at any time at the Pale Raven's Perch, and each completed deed pays out Karma Shards.
Karma Shards
Karma Shards have two uses. The first is buying Boons of Salvation. The second, which only matters from Part III onward, is Merge Causality, described below. Every Boon can be unlocked well before every Notable Deed is done, so there is no need to chase the full list; once all the Boons are bought, further shards go only toward merging characters.
How Boons Work
Once bought, a Boon applies on every route and can be toggled On or Off at will, which lets a player keep the challenge where they want it. Many Boons come in tiers, and higher tiers ask for a number of completed Part I routes before they can be bought. The route counts below come from a retail-build guide whose writers note that some of them are estimates.

The twelve skill Boons follow the game's own list of skills, so the table doubles as a record of the skill names the retail game uses. The Blessing Discounts cover the six gods whose service grants blessings; Temple Blessings covers those. The dungeon Boons are covered further on Dungeons and Clashes.
Merge Causality
In Part III the armies of all four routes are woven into one, and a character recruited on more than one route has to be brought in as a single unit. The game asks which version to use, and it also offers Merge Causality, which spends Karma Shards to combine the versions. A merged character does not add the versions' stats together. For each stat the higher value wins, and the higher abilities and combat arts carry over too, so a character raised as a heavy hitter on one route and as a caster on another can come out strong in both, while two versions trained the same way gain little from merging.
The developers described the same idea in the interview published before launch: clearing routes on which the same character was raised in two different directions, such as a mage on one and a swordsman on another, leads later to a character who combines both strengths. Recruitment covers which characters can be recruited on which routes.
