Ratsar's Lair

Initial version (2026-09-06): instance page for Ratsar's Lair
Ratsar's Lair is a boss-arena instance on Skover Island, tuned for level 10 and held by the Kobolds. Rather than a multi-room run, it is a single throne chamber built around one fight.
The lair's placement is deliberate. King Ratsar reigns supreme over the Kobolds of Skover, and he set his throne at the exact spot where the humans were defeated five centuries ago. That defeat is the same event that left the Lost City of Mayda in ruins, so the two Skover instances bracket the war from opposite sides.
Like every instance in Farever, the lair runs for parties of one to four players and follows the standard loot rule, so every member of the group leaves with at least one piece of gear. See Dungeons and Instances for the wider system.
Ratsar does not fight alone. The chamber fields a Kobold caster and one arena fixture that cannot be damaged.
Enemy | Level | Notes |
|---|---|---|
King Ratsar | Level 10 | The boss. Fights with a greatsword and firebombs |
Ratsar Lighter | Level 10 | Kobold caster that supports the throne room |
Snack of Ratsar | Level 10 | An arena fixture the game files as a Golem; it cannot be hit, stunned or pushed |
Ratsar's own signature rewards are two weapons and a glider that only this fight awards: the daggers Twin Fangs of Ratsar, the great sword Martyr of Enripit, and the Krisomalese Bat glider. A second glider, the Enripian Bat, drops more rarely from the same table.
The Martyr of Enripit is the odd one out. It arrived with The Nightling Update and it requires level 20 to equip, yet it drops here from a level 10 boss in launch content rather than anywhere in Ramburg. Anyone farming it is running a low-level instance for an endgame weapon. For where it sits against the rest of the arsenal, see Weapons and the Arsenal.
Beyond the signatures, the lair pays out the shared Kobold armour pool at Rare quality, including the Spirit of the Spelunker, Goldilock's Thrice Latched Jacket and the Wrong Trousers, along with Kobold crafting materials such as Small Fang, Piece of Perforated Metal and Tungstene Ore. For the wider loot economy see Gear, Items and Economy, and for the two gliders see Mounts and Gliders.
