The Lost City of Mayda, also written Maïda, is a fallen city that has become one of Farever's named dungeon instances. It sits within Meridion, a sub-region of Skover Island, and it served as the climactic dungeon of the game's demo.
The city has long since fallen, and the Nepsids have moved in. The fish-people made their home around Mayda and left their mark across the surrounding lands, so the ruins are firmly enemy turf by the time you arrive.
Hidden somewhere inside is a secret orb, one of the collectibles tied to completion goals in the world. As an instance, Mayda follows the standard Instances rules: a party of one to four players, with the strongest loot reserved for those who clear it. See Dungeons and Instances for the full system.
How Mayda Fell
Mayda was once a major centre of sea trade. It was destroyed five centuries ago, in the same era that saw the humans defeated on Skover, and the Nepsids moved into the ruins afterwards. Nepsilon holds what is left of it.
