Sturdy Hide is a stiffened hide in Crimson Desert that is as tough as plate but retains some flexibility. It is obtained by skinning giant reptiles after hunting or defeating them. Sturdy Hide is a premium crafting material used for armor reinforcement and creating layered protection.

Sturdy Hide can be obtained from several sources. It is one of the rarer hide types in the game and is needed for recipes such as Olvalt's Logging Axe (which requires 10 Sturdy Hide).
The most efficient way to farm Sturdy Hide is by hunting monitor lizards along the riverbed in the Crimson Desert region. The best farming spot is the stream northwest of Tashcal. Monitor lizards spawn along the riverbed and can be found by moving upstream.
Each monitor lizard drops 1 to 3 Sturdy Hide when skinned. The supply is not super abundant, but you can expect to gather at least 5 Sturdy Hide within 5 to 10 minutes of working your way up the riverbed. This is enough to make meaningful progress toward most crafting requirements.
Sturdy Hide can also be purchased from the tannery or leather shop found in each major city. These vendors typically stock 1 to 2 Sturdy Hide per day, and you may need to raise your trust level with the settlement before the material appears in stock.
Giant reptiles such as basilisks found in rocky and arid areas also drop Sturdy Hide when skinned. These creatures are among the more dangerous wildlife in Pywel and require serious combat ability to take down. Bring elixirs and strong weapons when hunting them.
