Quest Details

Overview

The situation has become urgent. Scout Shane went to reconnoiter Pailune but has not made contact. Kliff meets Torstein at the bridge in Beighen and rides with him toward Pailune. The plan is to rendezvous at a safe house that Torstein prepared in advance. This is the first quest of the Dawnrise sub-chapter.

Walkthrough

Move with Torstein

Proceed to the bridge in Beighen and meet Torstein there. Mount your horse and travel alongside him. The ride proceeds through the countryside until a cutscene triggers automatically, advancing the story and parting ways.

Secure the Pailune Safe House

After parting from Torstein, continue independently heading northward through woodland terrain. Follow the objective marker until you reach a red-colored structure. Enter this building to trigger a cutscene. Successfully securing the safe house completes the quest.

Tips

• The Jackal's Leather armor set you receive here is decent for the upcoming infiltration quests. Equip it if your current gear is weaker.

• This is a relatively calm quest before the tension escalates. Use the travel time to enjoy the scenery of the Hernand countryside.

Tips and Strategies

• Save your progress before starting this quest, especially if you are playing on a higher difficulty setting.

• Late-game quests ramp up in difficulty significantly. Make sure your equipment is fully enhanced and your consumable stock is replenished before entering each new quest.

• This is the first quest in a 5-quest chain. Make sure you are ready to commit to the full arc, as some later quests in the sequence may lock you into extended story sequences.
