Overview

Platypus is a tameable wildlife pet in Crimson Desert. An animal with an incomprehensible biology. It possesses a flat beak like a duck, webbed feet, and a broad tail, which it uses to swim smoothly. Despite laying eggs, it has the strange biological trait of producing milk.

How to Tame
The platypus became a tameable companion with the small-animal pets added in Patch 1.08.00, one of twenty small species that can be raised at the camp. Taming works by feeding it until its Trust reaches 100, then choosing Take In (Triangle on PlayStation, Y on Xbox) when the prompt appears.
Where to Find
Platypuses swim in a body of water in the same southwestern Delesyia region as the Baby Wyvern, near the Serpent Shrine and Wyvern's Cradle. The same water is shared by salamanders, frogs, and weasels, so it can be a busy spot. A platypus floating low in the water is easy to mistake for a fish, so look closely before approaching. If the animals scatter or you cannot find one, run a short distance around the area and back to make them respawn.
Foods for Trust
The platypus takes readily to fish. Common live fish such as Bass and Ricefish each raise Trust by 35, so feeding three of them fills the bar to 100 and unlocks the Take In prompt. You can buy live fish from a fishing shop or catch them yourself. For the fastest gain, the platypus's favorite foods are worth +100 each; see the full Food Trust Reference below for every item that raises Trust.
