The Pailunese Riteblade is a dagger in Crimson Desert with deep cultural roots in the northern region of Pailune. The weapon's lore reads: "In the harsh North, survival demands strength. Though Pailune is more civilized now, giving a weapon to coming-of-age children remains as a tradition." This blade is a ceremonial weapon given to young warriors as a rite of passage, and it doubles as a practical combat tool.

The Pailunese Riteblade is the starting dagger for Oongka, the third playable character and a member of the Greymanes. With a base Attack Power of 12, it sits a tier above the Bekker Dagger in raw damage. Its connection to Pailunese tradition reflects Oongka's roots as a warrior born from the harsh northern lands.

Stats

Unlike the Bekker Dagger, the Pailunese Riteblade has no secondary stat bonus such as Attack Speed or Critical Hit Chance. Its value lies in its higher base Attack Power and its availability as starting equipment, giving Oongka immediate access to a capable stealth tool from the moment he becomes playable.

How to Obtain

The Pailunese Riteblade is part of Oongka's starting equipment, available in his inventory from the moment he becomes a playable character. Players do not need to find, buy, or craft it to use it with Oongka.

The crafting recipe is unlocked through the One-Handed Weapons of the World Vol. 1 crafting book. This is the same volume that unlocks the Bekker Dagger recipe, and it can be purchased from Rhett at the Hernand Equipment Shop. All recipes in this volume require five Iron Ore and two Copper Ore.

Crafting the Pailunese Riteblade is useful for players who want to equip it on Kliff or other characters, since Oongka's starting copy is bound to his inventory. Having a second Riteblade available through crafting means any playable character can benefit from its higher base damage compared to the Bekker Dagger.

Refinement and Upgrades

The Pailunese Riteblade supports 10 levels of refinement. Since it starts with higher base Attack Power than the Bekker Dagger, refining it yields more total damage per level. Players who want to keep using Oongka's starting dagger well into the mid-game will benefit from investing refinement materials early.

That said, the Varnian Dagger (Attack Power 14 with Critical Hit Chance) and Sydmon Dagger (Attack Power 16) both outclass the Riteblade in raw stats. Players who acquire either of those daggers may prefer to redirect their refinement resources rather than continuing to invest in the Pailunese Riteblade.
