One-Handed Weapons of the World Vol. I is a crafting manual in Crimson Desert that teaches Kliff how to forge a selection of one-handed weapons at any blacksmith across Pywel. Crafting manuals are key items; once acquired, the recipes they contain are permanently added to the smithy crafting menu. This particular volume covers the first tier of one-handed swords, maces, hammers, and axes.
Like all equipment crafting manuals, this book must be found or purchased before the smithy will display its weapon options. Players who skip picking it up will only have access to weapons sold by vendors and dropped by enemies.
This manual can be acquired in the following ways:
Purchased from a general goods vendor in Hernand Town. Check the merchant stalls along the main street.
Found as loot in certain chests scattered throughout the Hernand region during early exploration.
Occasionally appears as a quest reward for side quests involving local blacksmiths or merchants.
Once you pick up or buy the manual, it is consumed immediately and the recipes become available at every smithy in the game.

All weapons forged from this manual share the same base material cost of 5 Iron Ore and 2 Copper Ore. Each weapon comes with three Abyss Core slots that can be filled at a Witch to further customize stats.
To forge a weapon from this manual, visit any blacksmith in a town or settlement. Open the smithy menu, navigate to the One-Handed Weapons section, and select the weapon you want to create. The required ore is deducted from your inventory, and the weapon is produced instantly. Smithies also allow you to refine existing weapons, which incrementally increases their base Attack stat. Refinement costs additional ore.
Prioritize picking up this manual early. The Glenmore Sword and Crude Club both offer Attack Speed bonuses that make early combat smoother.
Iron Ore and Copper Ore are found throughout the Hernand region. Mine ore deposits along cliff faces and inside caves to stock up before your first smithy visit.
Even if you prefer two-handed weapons, having a one-handed weapon available gives you a faster swap option for enemies that punish slow attacks.
After forging a weapon, take it to a Witch and install offensive Abyss Cores like Destruction I or Gale I to round out its damage output.
