Overview
The Maze of Burhum is one of four Maze Challenges in Crimson Desert. It takes place inside a red-bricked fortress of towers and wooden bridges at the Town of Burhum, initially occupied by a hostile enemy faction. The puzzle asks the player to collect three Engraved Stones from buttons hidden around two main towers and then insert all three stones into a socketed chamber at the top of the tallest tower, which activates the Abyss Cresset.
Unlike the Maze of Dawnreach, Burhum does not require leaning towers to be pushed upright. Instead the focus is on exploring interior rooms and exterior wooden balconies, using Force Palm on square wall buttons to release each stone. Completing the maze awards an Abyss Artifact and activates a fast travel point.
Location
The Maze of Burhum is inside the Town of Burhum, located in the western part of the Crimson Desert (region), south of the Forebearer's Barrens. It appears on the world map as a Mysterious Energy marker. The fortress is easy to spot from a distance because of its red brick towers and wooden connecting bridges.

Requirements
Force Palm: every Engraved Stone button responds to Force Palm. The standard tier is sufficient here; the three-strike combo of Level 3 is not strictly required.
Climbing readiness: the towers of Burhum are tall and some ledges are narrow, so practice climbing and ledge-hopping before the puzzle if you are not comfortable.
Combat readiness: Dusksong fighters armed with firearms patrol the bridges. Clearing them first makes the puzzle much safer, especially since the wooden walkways offer little cover.
Walkthrough
Three Engraved Stones are needed. Two sit inside the tallest tower, and the third is in the shorter building that stands next to it. The tallest tower also holds the final socket chamber at its top.
Engraved Stone 1: Shorter Tower Room
Enter the shorter tower to the right of the tallest tower. At bridge level a hole in the exterior wall leads into an interior room.
Inside, a square button is set into the wall. Strike it with Force Palm to release the first Engraved Stone.
Expect Dusksong fighters to close on you while you are in here; deal with them before moving on.
Engraved Stone 2: Tallest Tower, Balcony with Beds
Cross to the tallest tower and climb one storey. A wooden balcony with a bedding area is visible on the outer wall.
Find the covered section near the beds. A button is tucked under it against the wall.
Use Force Palm on the button to free the second Engraved Stone.
Engraved Stone 3: Tallest Tower, Upper Room
Continue climbing the tallest tower. Another opening appears in the exterior wall one level higher; it is often recognizable by a hanging basket.
Enter the room and locate the third button along the interior wall.
Force Palm it to obtain the third and final Engraved Stone.
Final Step: Activate the Cresset
Keep climbing to the very top of the tallest tower.
A hole in the roof drops into a small chamber that holds three niches.
Place each Engraved Stone into its matching slot. The Abyss Cresset activates immediately.
Interact with the Cresset to claim the Abyss Artifact and unlock the fast travel point.
Rewards
An Abyss Artifact usable in the skill tree.
A fast travel point linked to the Abyss Nexus network.
Progress toward the Maze Pathfinder trophy and achievement for finishing all 4 Maze Challenges.
Tips
Clear Dusksong enemies before committing to the climb. Falling off a bridge under gunfire is the single most common failure here.
Buttons look identical between the three towers: a square inset in the wall. If Force Palm does not react, reposition slightly and try again, as range matters.
If you accidentally drop off the tallest tower mid-climb, fast travel is still locked until the Cresset is active. Plan a climbing route that keeps you near the tower's ledges.
Once all three stones are placed, the Cresset will not deactivate. It is safe to step away and come back later.
