Lightning Pulse is an elemental skill in Crimson Desert, exclusive to Oongka. It belongs to the Health (Red) branch of the skill tree. When activated, Oongka concentrates electrical energy in both fists and releases a powerful close-range discharge that electrocutes all enemies within melee range. The skill reflects Oongka's brawler fighting style, turning his bare hands into devastating electrical weapons.
Lightning Pulse is one of the elemental skills unlocked through the Abyss region exploration system. Unlike Stamina-based attacks, it consumes Spirit, so it can be used even when Stamina is depleted. The electrical discharge radiates outward from Oongka's fists in a short area-of-effect cone, making it effective against groups of enemies clustered in close quarters.

How to Unlock | Unlock Lightning Lv. 1 by solving the puzzle at the Courtyard of Precision in the Abyss |
Prerequisites | Lightning Lv. 1 |
Lightning Pulse becomes available after unlocking Lightning Lv. 1, which requires completing the puzzle at the Courtyard of Precision in the Abyss. To reach the Courtyard of Precision, players must navigate the following Abyss path: Spire of the Stars (ascend during Chapter 4) to the Sanctorum of Insight, then extend sky bridges through the Secret Garden and Vault of Vengeance until reaching the Courtyard.
The puzzle at the Courtyard of Precision tests your control over Focused Shots and requires precise aim to activate floating cubes. Once solved, Lightning Lv. 1 is permanently unlocked across all characters, granting access to Lightning Pulse for Oongka, Lightning Surge for Kliff, and Lightning Strike for Damiane.

Lightning Pulse works best as a close-range follow-up after closing distance with a charge or grapple. A common combo is to use Charge to rush into a group of enemies, immediately trigger Lightning Pulse to electrocute the cluster, and then follow with Oongka's wide-swinging greataxe attacks to clean up staggered foes. The electrical discharge can briefly stagger smaller enemies, creating openings for Grapple attacks or heavy weapon combos.
Since Lightning Pulse costs Spirit rather than Stamina, it pairs well with Oongka's Stamina-hungry physical attacks. When your Stamina pool is low after a string of melee combos, switching to Lightning Pulse keeps your offense going while Stamina regenerates naturally.
Lightning Pulse has a short range, so position yourself close to enemies before activating. Rushing in with Charge or a grapple before triggering the discharge maximizes the number of targets hit.
The 10 Spirit cost is low, making Lightning Pulse viable for frequent use. Pair it with Focus to regenerate Spirit between uses.
Enemies weak to lightning take increased damage from this skill. Pay attention to enemy elemental weaknesses, which are visible in their health bar when using Keen Senses.
Lightning Pulse can also be useful outside of combat for interacting with lightning-conductive objects in the environment, similar to how Lightning Surge is used to gather Bismuth Ores.
Once you unlock Imbue Element, you can apply lightning properties to Oongka's other combat skills for sustained elemental damage throughout a fight.
