Leaping Smash is one of Oongka's default skills in the Stamina (Blue) skill tree. It is available as soon as Oongka becomes playable and does not require Abyss Artifacts to unlock.
Leaping Smash causes Oongka to leap high into the air and slam his weapon down onto enemies below. The impact deals heavy damage to the primary target and also hits surrounding enemies in an area of effect. This makes Leaping Smash one of Oongka's best tools for dealing damage to clustered groups of foes.
The skill is activated by pressing R1 + X (RB + A on Xbox). The leap component provides brief airtime that can help Oongka avoid ground-based attacks, though this is a secondary benefit since the primary purpose is the powerful downward slam.
Leaping Smash costs 40 Stamina and is activated with R1 + Circle (RB + B on Xbox). The area-of-effect damage on landing makes it one of Oongka's strongest openers against clustered enemies. The brief airtime during the leap can help Oongka avoid ground-based attacks, though this is not reliable as a primary evasion method. Pair it with Rage for Super Armor during the animation to prevent interruption.
