How to Obtain

The Gorthak Greataxe can be crafted at a Blacksmith after learning the recipe from the Two Handed Weapons of the World Vol. 2 crafting manual. Crafting manuals are found during exploration of Pywel or can be purchased from merchants. The weapon may also appear as random world loot in the open world.

Five Abyss Gear slots offer the usual flexibility for builds. The Lv. 2 crit rate creates a solid baseline that can be expanded with additional crit cores for a high-crit build, or supplemented with attack power cores for maximum raw damage. Players who want to offset the lack of a shield while using a two-handed weapon might also consider slotting defensive utility cores like stagger resistance.

The Gorthak Greataxe is statistically identical to the Tardik Greataxe: 19 attack, Lv. 2 Critical Rate, 5 Abyss Gear slots. In the hands of Oongka, both weapons deliver the same combat performance. The choice between them is cosmetic, determined by which one the player encounters first or which visual design they prefer.
