Travel to Oakenshield Manor in the City of Hernand. A giant guard stands outside the building. Approach him to trigger a cutscene where Marquis Alan Serkis thanks Kliff for handling the Goldleaf Merchant Guild situation and offers Howling Hill as a base for the Greymanes. Serkis formally establishes alliances with both House Serkis and House Celeste, granting the Greymanes political legitimacy in the region.
Before leaving the manor, equip your lantern and point it at the western end of the long table. A Memory Fragment is hidden here. In this memory, you will see a discussion between Leister and Alan Serkis about the reward decision and the politics behind granting the Greymanes their settlement. This is an optional collectible that adds context to the alliance.
Exit the manor. A soldier will begin walking ahead of you toward the southeast. Follow him on foot until he mounts a horse. Call your mount and ride behind the soldier as he leads you to Howling Hill. During the ride, the soldier provides some exposition about the city's gratitude and mentions that the Goldleaf Merchant Guild under Shakatu's new leadership is working to rebuild trust with the people.
Dismount at Howling Hill and approach the group gathered at the campsite. Marshal Barden Middler introduces himself and presents Damiane Spencer, who is seeking temporary refuge due to personal troubles in Demeniss. Damiane becomes a playable character after this cutscene, bringing her own unique combat style to the roster.

The mount Brianto is a solid early horse. Check your stable to see its stats after the quest completes.
