Elemental Smiting Strike is an elemental skill in Crimson Desert, exclusive to Damiane. It belongs to the Health (Red) branch of the skill tree. When activated during a Smiting Strike attack, Damiane imbues the blow with the currently active element (fire, frost, lightning, or wind), adding elemental damage on top of the base physical damage. This makes it one of Damiane's first elemental combo skills and a gateway to her full elemental combat toolkit.
Elemental Smiting Strike is the first skill in the Imbue Element progression line for Damiane. Unlocking it opens the path to more advanced elemental imbue skills, including Elemental Charged Shot, Elemental Shield Toss, and Elemental Meteor Kick. Each subsequent skill in the chain requires raising the Imbue Element level further, making Elemental Smiting Strike the foundation of Damiane's elemental build path.

Elemental Smiting Strike is automatically unlocked when Damiane's Imbue Element skill reaches Level 1. To unlock Imbue Element, Damiane must first learn a base elemental skill (such as Flame Rush Lv. 1, which requires completing the Tree of Slumber puzzle in the Abyss) and spend 1 Abyss Artifact. Once Imbue Element Lv. 1 is active, Elemental Smiting Strike becomes available with no additional cost.

The timing requires pressing both triggers while the Smiting Strike animation is playing. The element applied depends on which elemental attunement is currently active. Switch between elements using the element selection wheel before triggering the imbued strike.
The elemental effect added to Smiting Strike depends on which element is currently active:

Switch between elements to exploit enemy weaknesses. Fire is effective against ice-type enemies, lightning works well against heavily armored targets, and frost is useful for slowing fast-moving foes.
Elemental Smiting Strike costs 20 Spirit, which is double the cost of a basic elemental skill. Make sure you have enough Spirit before committing to the imbued version.
Pair this skill with Focus to regenerate Spirit between uses, allowing for sustained elemental offense.
Unlocking Elemental Smiting Strike is the first step toward Damiane's full elemental build. Prioritize reaching Imbue Element Lv. 1 to access this skill early.
The elemental damage is added on top of the base Smiting Strike damage, not replacing it. This means Elemental Smiting Strike always deals more total damage than a non-imbued version.
