The Electro-Mecha Spear is a unique two-handed spear in Crimson Desert. It features high base damage and comes with a built-in Lightning Affinity, making the first several attacks deal lightning damage that can stun enemies. The spear is found in the Gorthak territory of Delesyia, hidden inside a wooden structure in a trench area.

The Electro-Mecha Spear is located in the Gorthak territory of Delesyia, north of the central Delesyia area. Travel to the area above Delesyia and look for a trench or depression in the terrain. Follow the trench forward until you spot a wooden structure.
On the left side of the wooden structure, there is a breakable wooden wall. Use Force Palm to smash through it. Inside, you will find a golden chest containing the Electro-Mecha Spear.
With Patch 1.06.00, the Electro-Mecha Spear was upgraded with abyss-gear sockets in the same wave that brought sockets to the Electro-Mecha Longsword and other previously socket-less weapons. The spear can now be refined and slotted with Abyss Gear rather than staying at its base configuration. The longsword variant is generally considered the stronger of the two electro-mecha weapons, but the spear is still worth picking up for spear-focused builds and as a backup lightning option.
Outside of the original chest pickup, the Electro-Mecha Spear can be farmed by disarming the smaller Machina Knights that carry it at Marni outposts. The most reliable spawn point is Marni's Drilling Rig on the far right of the Delesyia region, the same farming spot used for the longsword variant. Other outposts in the broader area also feature spear-wielding smaller knights and respond to the same approach.
Equip a small shield (the Mecha Shield sold at Hernand) and a one-handed sword, hold L1 or LB to brace, then trigger the disarming spin with R2 or RT when the knight attacks. The Disarm Mechanic article has the full procedure. Since the post-1.06.00 patch, disarmed enemies retrieve their dropped weapon quickly, so it is strongly recommended to have a bird pet out to auto-loot the spear before the enemy can pick it back up. A manual save before the attempt is sensible in case the enemy is killed without dropping the weapon.
Now that the spear accepts abyss gears, common recommendations mirror the longsword loadouts: a balanced mix of Critical Rate, Insight III, and one mobility or survival gear, or a pure damage stack of multiple Critical Rate gears with Insight III for spirit return. Refine to level 10 before committing rare abyss gears, then use the Extraction feature at any smithy to iterate on the build without losing materials.
The Lightning Affinity effect causes the first five consecutive attacks to deal lightning damage. This is particularly effective against armored enemies, as the electric damage can bypass some defenses and has a chance to stun targets briefly. After five lightning-infused attacks, the effect resets after a short period.
Stun chance: Lightning attacks have a chance to briefly stagger enemies, interrupting their actions.
Five-hit window: Plan your combos to take advantage of the first five hits, then reposition while waiting for the effect to reset.
Effective against groups: Sweeping spear attacks combined with lightning can stun multiple enemies in a pack.
Players looking for a refined lightning spear should consider the Kuku Lightning Spear, which is an upgraded version of the Lightning Spear. The Kuku Lightning Spear can be fully refined and reaches 35 attack at maximum refinement, outscaling the Electro-Mecha Spear in the late game. However, the Electro-Mecha Spear's 30 base attack without any refinement investment makes it a strong mid-game pickup.
Lightning Spear - Base lightning spear, upgradeable to Kuku version
Kuku Lightning Spear - Refined lightning spear with higher endgame potential
Two-Handed Weapons - All two-handed weapon types
Halberds - Hybrid polearm weapons
In-game flavor text describes the Electro-Mecha Spear as an electricity-charged spear used by Marni's Machina Knights. Rather than a standard polearm, Marni fitted it with a specialized device that makes the blade conduct electricity. Anyone struck suffers both the spear's base damage and a follow-up shock from the conducted current.
The weapon holds five electric charges at once. Each charge triggers on hit and applies a shock effect, after which a five-second recharge is required before that charge can be used again. Charges regenerate passively while the spear is equipped.
Travel to the specified point in the Balenos region, near the abandoned structures northeast of your starting hub.
Unlock the nearest fast travel point, then approach the orange circle that marks the area of interest.
Inside the marked zone you will encounter mechanical dragonfly drones that fire lasers if you stand still. Keep moving and they do minimal damage.
Stick to the main path rather than cutting through spike traps. Follow the trail up and around to a breakable wooden structure at the rear of the area.
Break through the wooden barricade and open the chest inside to claim the spear.
Following Patch 1.06.00, the Electro-Mecha Spear gained abyss-gear sockets and refinement support, putting it on a more competitive footing with other socketed spears such as the Elite Vanguard Spear. The built-in lightning charges still open encounters strongly against armored targets vulnerable to shock.
Lead with the shock to interrupt caster animations before closing into melee range.
Keep a second weapon slotted for prolonged fights since you cannot reinforce the spear's base stats.
Story progress may gate some nearby orange zones, so return later if the surrounding area is locked on your first attempt.
The Electro-Mecha Spear is hidden behind a set of wooden boards that you can destroy with a normal attack. There are no enemies blocking the path. Fast travel to the closest unlock point, follow the trail to the wooden wall, break the planks, and step inside to claim the spear. The whole detour takes only a minute or two from the fast travel pillar.
