Eclipsed Solas Plate Gloves are T3 plate armor gloves for Oongka in Crimson Desert. They are dark Gorthak-made gauntlets modified to strengthen unarmed combat, with two socketed effects built into the item data.
The gloves are tied to the Traitor quest, specifically the A Fleeting Dream mission, where they are listed among the rewards. They start as a 12 Attack, 0 Defense piece and refine to 36 Attack and 17 Defense at +10.
The item description emphasizes the modified studs on the fists, which matters for role clarity. These are not general knight gloves for every character; they are Oongka gloves with a brawling identity and a darker Gorthak visual style.
Property | Value |

Item Type | |

Tier | T3 |
Base Price | 408 Copper |
+0 Stats | 12 Attack, 0 Defense |
+10 Stats | 36 Attack, 17 Defense |
Sockets | 2 |
Eclipsed Solas Plate Gloves include two listed socket effects: Flames of Judgment, which imbues Fire, and Ascent I, which grants Climb Speed 2%. This combination gives the gloves both combat identity and exploration utility.
Socket | Effect |
|---|---|
Imbue Fire | |
Climb Speed +2% |
The refinement path raises Attack from 12 to 36 and Defense from 0 to 17. The early levels use Iron Ore, then add Short Hair Hide and Fang. Higher levels add Bismuth Ore before the final upgrade asks for Aeserion's Scale and an Abyss Artifact.
Level | Attack | ||
|---|---|---|---|
+0 | 12 | 0 | None |
+3 | 18 | 3 | |
+5 | 22 | 7 | |
+8 | 28 | 13 | Iron Ore, Short Hair Hide, Fang, Bismuth Ore, Abyss Artifact |
+10 | 36 | 17 | Aeserion's Scale, Abyss Artifact |
The +5 tier is the first meaningful material checkpoint because Abyss Artifact costs begin there. The +8 and +9 tiers add Bismuth Ore pressure, while +10 gives the largest final Attack jump, moving from 31 at +9 to 36 at +10.
Oongka gauntlet build: the item is explicitly for Oongka and supports hand-to-hand damage.
Fire utility: Flames of Judgment gives the gloves an elemental angle beyond raw Attack.
Climbing utility: Ascent I makes them useful outside combat when routes involve vertical traversal.
Quest reward: they are obtained through the Traitor questline rather than treated as a generic open-world drop.
Although the item card lists the Eclipsed Solas Plate Gloves under the Traitor questline, the practical acquisition for most fire-build players is the auto-drop at the end of Chapter 8: Blood Coronation Walkthrough. After the final boss fight of The Blood Coronation finishes and the closing cutscene plays out, the gloves appear in inventory without any extra pickup prompt.
Progress the main story to the closing fight of Chapter 8. The final boss segment is played with a character other than Kliff.
Defeat the boss and let the cutscene finish playing through to the wake-up moment.
Open the inventory. The Eclipsed Solas Plate Gloves appear automatically with Flames of Judgment already embedded as an Abyss Gear core.
Most fire builds do not wear these gloves long-term. The reward you actually want is the Flames of Judgment abyss core. Take the gloves to any Witch's Workshops and use Extract Abyss Gear; the core returns to inventory free of the original gloves, and the gloves themselves remain available if you also want the Ascent I climb bonus on another character.
After extraction, the standard fire build re-embeds Flames of Judgment into Plate Boots of the Shadows alongside Volcanic Eruption (pulled from the Scorchflame Plate Gloves waterfall chest). Both fire abyss gears then live in a single armor slot for one-button fire mode whenever those boots are equipped. See Fire Element for the full element-swap loadout pattern.
