Brianto is one of the five standard horse breeds in Crimson Desert. It has a sleek, well-built body and is prized as a racehorse, featuring high speed potential but the lowest base health and stamina among all horse breeds. According to its in-game Knowledge entry, Brianto is described as "a horse breed with a sleek, well-built body, prized as a racehorse" and is often traded at a relatively high price. Brianto serves as Damiane's default mount and becomes available to players once they unlock her in Chapter 3.
There are four ways to get a Brianto horse:
Default Mount: Brianto is automatically unlocked as Damiane's horse when you unlock her as a playable character in Chapter 3. This is the earliest guaranteed method.
Tame in the Wild: Wild Brianto horses can be found roaming across Pywel. Approach a wild horse and jump on its back to begin the horse taming minigame. Keep the camera positioned behind the horse while holding S (keyboard) or back on the left stick (controller). Move in the opposite direction to where the horse is facing relative to your camera position and keep doing this until the taming bar fills completely.
Purchase from Stables: Stable merchants in various towns sell Brianto horses for silver. This is the most convenient option if you cannot find one in the wild, though it is more expensive than taming.
Steal from NPCs: You can steal a Brianto from bandits on the road or non-hostile NPCs. Equip a mask first to hide your identity. Be aware that stealing is a crime and will increase your bounty.
Brianto has the following base stats at Level 1. While these numbers are the lowest health and stamina among all standard breeds, the stats improve significantly as you level the horse through riding, feeding, and caressing.
Stat | Value |
|---|---|
Health | 300 |
Stamina | 150 |
Attack | 7 |
Defense | 30 |
Movement Speed | 2 |
Acceleration | 1 |
Handling | 1 |
Jump Power | 1 |
Brianto's Movement Speed stat of 2 is the highest among standard breeds at base level, reflecting its racing pedigree. However, its low Health of 300 means it can be incapacitated during mounted combat more easily than sturdier breeds.
As you level up your Brianto through riding, feeding, and caressing, it unlocks the following skills. At maximum level (Level 5), Brianto gains access to its signature acceleration abilities.
Level | Skill | Description |
|---|---|---|
Lv. 2 | Dash | Can move fast |
Lv. 3 | Drift | Slide while moving quickly |
Lv. 3 | Back Kick | Kick an enemy behind you |
Lv. 4 | Sprint | Can move very fast |
Lv. 5 | Quick Start | Set off quickly when starting to move |
Lv. 5 | Swimming III | Can move faster in the water |
Lv. 5 | Instant Acceleration | Accelerate significantly while drifting |
Lv. 5 | Consecutive Instant Acceleration | Use one more time during Instant Acceleration |
Lv. 5 | Double Jump | Jump while in midair one more time |
The combination of Instant Acceleration and Consecutive Instant Acceleration is unique to Brianto among standard breeds. These skills provide exceptional speed bursts during drifts, making Brianto one of the fastest horses in short sprints. Quick Start also helps Brianto reach top speed faster from a standstill.
Horses gain experience and level up through three methods:
Feeding: Give your horse food items. This is the quickest method for gaining horse experience. Apples, carrots, and other horse-appropriate food items all work.
Caressing: Target your horse and press R to pet or caress it. This grants free XP without spending any items or resources.
Riding: Simply riding your horse generates passive experience over time, though this is the slowest method.
You can also invest in the Abyss Tree's mount nodes to improve Stamina and other stats beyond what equipment provides.
Like all horse breeds, Brianto can be outfitted with horse items at stables. Equipment slots include:
Caparisons: Change the horse's appearance without affecting stats.
Horseshoes: Provide speed and movement bonuses to offset Brianto's lower stats in other areas.
Saddles: Grant stamina bonuses, which is especially helpful for Brianto's low base stamina.
Stirrups: Improve handling for tighter turns and more responsive controls.
Equipping the right combination of gear can offset Brianto's lower base health and stamina. Prioritize saddles and horseshoes for the best improvement in weak areas.
Stat | Brianto | Priden | Hespia |
|---|---|---|---|
Health | 300 | 400 | 350 |
Stamina | 150 | 195 | 175 |
Attack | 7 | 10 | 10 |
Defense | 30 | 60 | 45 |
Movement Speed | 2 | 1 | 1 |
Acceleration | 1 | 1 | 1 |
Handling | 1 | 2 | 1 |
Jump Power | 1 | 2 | 1 |
Brianto is the speed-focused breed among the five standard horses. Compared to Hespia (the starter mount), Brianto has better speed potential but lower survivability. Priden offers better health, jump power, and handling, while Elantrima provides a more balanced stat profile. For the absolute best horses in the game, the three legendary breeds (Royler, Rokade, and Camora) outclass all standard breeds in every category.
Brianto is one of the four tamable breeds required for the Harmonious Hooves horse challenge (challenge #7). You must ride each of the four tamable breeds (Brianto, Priden, Elantrima, and Numont) for over 100 meters each to complete this challenge.
Feed your Brianto regularly to level it up faster. Feeding is significantly quicker than passive riding XP.
Caress your horse (target it and press R) for free XP without spending any items.
Brianto's low base health means it can be incapacitated in combat more easily. Consider investing in defensive horse items or switching to a sturdier mount for mounted combat.
If Damiane is your preferred character, Brianto is a natural fit since it comes automatically with her.
Use Instant Acceleration during drifts for massive speed bursts. Follow it with Consecutive Instant Acceleration for a second boost.
Brianto is outclassed by the legendary Royler in speed, stamina, and every other stat. Once you obtain Royler, it replaces Brianto as the top speed mount.
Invest in the Abyss Tree's mount nodes for additional stat boosts that stack with horse equipment.
