Earrings focus on defensive stats and sustainability. The Ancient Earring provides Defense alongside secondary bonuses that improve survivability in prolonged fights.
The Health regeneration effect on this accessory helps sustain your character between fights or during longer encounters. This is particularly valuable for players who prefer a tankier build or engage in PvE content where healing resources may be limited.
Refinement is available up to +10, which improves both the base stats and any bonus effects. Consider investing refinement materials if you plan to keep this accessory equipped for an extended period.
The Ancient Earring is obtained from Previs the Ancient, an NPC who resides in the Crimson Desert at the Tashkalp area. His exact location is to the left of the city at the Fallen Abyss. There is a quest associated with Previs that rewards the earring upon completion.
The Ancient Earring can be found at the Azirian Manor. When fully leveled to +10 refinement, this earring provides 6 Defense and +4 Movement Speed, matching the Witch's Earring in total stats.
The manor entrance is guarded and the guards will not allow you inside. Instead, head around to the back of the building and look for a window you can climb through. Once inside, enter the room and look for a secret wall that you can pass through. Behind the secret wall is another room containing a strongbox with a puzzle.
Solve the strongbox puzzle, then equip your mask and steal the Ancient Earring from the chest. As with other stolen accessories, having the thieving mask equipped before interacting with the chest is essential to avoid alerting nearby NPCs.
When fully upgraded to refinement level 10, the Ancient Earring reaches +4 Movement Speed. This is the maximum movement speed breakpoint for earrings and is shared by only a handful of earring types in the game. Equipping two Ancient Earrings provides a combined +8 Movement Speed from the earring slots alone.
Movement Speed is considered one of the best defensive stats for certain playstyles because it helps avoid getting hit entirely rather than simply mitigating incoming damage. Faster movement makes it easier to dodge attacks, reposition during boss fights, and disengage from unfavorable encounters. For players who rely on spacing and evasion rather than blocking, stacking movement speed through earrings is a top priority.
At max refinement the earring also provides 0.6 Health per second, which helps sustain your character passively during exploration and between combat encounters.
