Accessories in Crimson Desert are a category of Equipment that provide supplementary stat bonuses beyond what Weapons and Armor offer. They include rings, necklaces, and earrings, each occupying a dedicated gear slot on the character. Accessories grant bonuses such as increased Attack, Defense, and Movement Speed, making them an important part of any build.
Players can equip up to six accessories at once: two Rings, two Earrings, one Necklace (sometimes called an Amulet), and one Cloak. All six slots can be filled simultaneously, and their bonuses stack with each other and with weapon and armor stats. Filling every accessory slot early in the game is one of the easiest ways to gain a meaningful power spike, since even basic accessories contribute Attack or Defense that would otherwise go unused.
Like weapons and armor, accessories can be upgraded through the Refinement system at a blacksmith. Each accessory supports up to 10 refinement levels, and upgrading does not cost any currency; it only requires the appropriate materials. You can also use a duplicate copy of the same accessory as refinement material, which makes holding on to spare drops worthwhile. Jewelry refinement materials come primarily from hides and bones obtained by Hunting animals in the wild.
In addition to the three standard accessory types, Kliff also wears the Axiom Bracelet, a unique wrist-slot item that serves as his source of elemental magic. The Axiom Bracelet functions differently from other accessories and is covered on its own page.
There are three standard types of accessories that Kliff can equip:
Rings (2 slots) provide Attack bonuses, boosting offensive damage output. Rings are the most common offensive accessory and can be looted from bandits or purchased from vendors.
Earrings (2 slots) provide Defense bonuses and may carry secondary effects such as increased Movement Speed. They are the primary defensive accessory type.
Necklaces (1 slot) provide Attack bonuses similar to rings, complementing them for additional offensive power. Sometimes referred to as Amulets.
Combining the right accessories with the appropriate weapon and armor setup is important for optimizing a character's effectiveness in combat. Offensive builds benefit from stacking rings and a necklace for maximum Attack, while defensive or evasion-focused builds should prioritize earrings.
Earrings primarily boost Defense and may carry additional passive effects. The Oath of Darkness provides the highest Defense bonus among earrings at +2, while the Engraved Gold Earring is notable for its Movement Speed Lv.1 secondary effect, which is useful for players who favor mobile combat. Below is the complete list of earrings.
Icon | Name | DEF | ATK | Special Effect | How to Obtain |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| +1 | 0 | Movement Speed Lv.1 | Found in the world (exact location unconfirmed) | |
| +2 | 0 | None | Strongbox puzzle at Bluemont Manor, Hernand | |

| 0 | 0 | None | Found in the world (exact location unconfirmed) |
Rings boost the wearer's Attack stat. They range from basic early-game pieces to items of political significance within the world of Pywel. Two ring slots are available, so equipping a pair is recommended for maximum offensive benefit.
Icon | Name | ATK | DEF | Special Effect | How to Obtain |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| +2 | 0 | None | Contribution Shop, Hernand Castle (65 Contribution Points) | |
| +1 | 0 | None | Common loot from bandits; can also be purchased from vendors |
The Hernandian Signet is connected to the city of Hernand and is classified as a Contribution Good. It can be purchased from the Contribution Shop inside Hernand Castle for 65 Contribution Points, earned by completing quests and performing good deeds for the citizens of Hernand. With +2 Attack, it is the strongest offensive accessory currently available.
Necklaces (sometimes called Amulets) provide Attack bonuses similar to rings. Only one necklace slot is available. One necklace has been documented so far.
Icon | Name | ATK | DEF | Special Effect | How to Obtain |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| +1 | 0 | None | Looted from bandits in the open world (non-guaranteed drop) |
The Axiom Bracelet is a unique wrist-slot accessory worn exclusively by Kliff. Unlike the standard accessories listed above, it does not provide simple stat bonuses. Instead, it serves as Kliff's source of elemental magic, channeling elements through a dial interface that lets players switch elements mid-combat. The Axiom Bracelet has its own upgrade path and is separate from the jewelry refinement system. See the Axiom Bracelet article for full details.
Accessories can be acquired through several methods as you explore the world of Pywel:
Enemy Loot: The most common source of early-game accessories is looting defeated enemies. Bandits that spawn along roadsides and in camps throughout the game world have a decent chance of dropping Tarnished Rings and Tarnished Necklaces. Farming bandits during quests or while exploring is one of the fastest ways to fill your accessory slots.
Strongbox Puzzles: Some accessories, such as the Oath of Darkness, are rewards for solving strongbox puzzles found in specific locations. Strongboxes are locked containers that require solving puzzles printed directly on them to unlock.
Contribution Shops: Certain high-end accessories like the Hernandian Signet can be purchased using Contribution Points. Contribution is earned by completing quests and helping NPCs throughout the game.
Vendors: Equipment vendors in towns across Pywel sometimes stock accessories. Check vendor inventories regularly, as different merchants carry different items.
World Exploration: Some accessories can be found as loot in chests, on corpses, or in hidden locations throughout the world. Thorough exploration is rewarded with gear that might not be available through other means.
All accessories support the Refinement upgrade system, with a maximum of 10 refinement levels per item. Upgrading accessories works the same way as upgrading weapons and armor: visit any blacksmith and select the item to view its Refinement Information. The process does not require any currency; only the listed materials are consumed.
Refinement materials for jewelry come from Hunting animals. Players need hides and bones, which are obtained by defeating animals in the wild and skinning them. This makes Hunting an important activity for anyone looking to maximize their accessory stats. Refinement levels 1 through 4 use standard materials and are inexpensive to complete. From level 5 onward, the blacksmith requires Abyss Artifacts, which are rarer and harder to come by.
A useful mechanic is that you can sacrifice a duplicate copy of the same accessory as refinement material. This means that keeping spare accessory drops instead of selling them can pay off when you decide to upgrade your favorite ring or earring.
Accessories provide smaller stat gains than weapons or armor, but those bonuses stack and can make a real difference in tough fights against Bosses.
Fill all six accessory slots as early as possible. Even low-tier accessories like the Tarnished Ring add up when every slot is occupied.
The Engraved Gold Earring's Movement Speed bonus is useful for players who favor a mobile combat style, allowing faster repositioning during encounters.
The Hernandian Signet (+2 Attack) is the strongest offensive accessory available. Prioritize earning Contribution in Hernand to unlock it.
For maximum offense, equip the Hernandian Signet, a Tarnished Ring (or a second ring if available), and the Tarnished Necklace for a combined +4 Attack from accessories alone.
Hold on to duplicate accessory drops instead of selling them. Duplicates can be used as refinement material at the blacksmith, saving you the trouble of gathering hides and bones.
Prioritize refining accessories that align with your playstyle. Offensive builds benefit most from ring and necklace refinement, while defensive or evasion-focused builds should focus on earrings.
The Axiom Bracelet operates on a separate system from standard accessories. Check its dedicated page for upgrade options.
