Erenor
Erenor is the world where the ArcheAge franchise takes place. Created by the Mother Goddess Thiol, it contains three major continents, numerous islands, and vast oceans. The lore draws from novels by Korean author Jeon Minhee, whose writings form the canonical backstory.
Creation
Thiol established the Garden, also called "the navel of the world" and "the birthplace of magic." The Garden is an otherworldly realm governed by Faeries whom Thiol condemned. From this sacred space, Thiol poured magic into the world, turning a desolate wasteland into a living planet.

Thiol created three "higher races" to populate Erenor:
Ipnya - The magically gifted race, builders of advanced civilizations. Their ruins dot Auroria.
Nuon - Ancestors of the Warborn. A powerful warrior race.
Akasch - A malevolent serpentine race, 2 to 3 times the size of humans, eventually sealed in another dimension by the Ipnya. See Akasch.
The three continents
Nuia (western continent)
Home to the Nuians, Elves, and Dwarves. Named after the goddess Nui (formerly Eanna Nimush), who sacrificed herself to save the survivors of Auroria's destruction. The Nuian capital is Marianople. In the original game, Nuia contained roughly 15 playable zones, including Solzreed Peninsula, Gweonid Forest, Lilyut Hills, Dewstone Plains, White Arden, Marianople, Two Crowns, Cinderstone Moor, Halcyona, Hellswamp, Sanddeep, Aubre Cradle, Airain Rock, and Karkasse Ridgelands.

Haranya (eastern continent)
Home to the Firran and Harani. Capital: Austera in Solis Headlands. In the original game, Haranya contained roughly 14 playable zones, including Arcum Iris, Falcorth Plains, Sunbite Wilds, Tigerspine Mountains, Mahadevi, Solis Headlands, Villanelle, Silent Forest, Ynystere, Rookborne Basin, Windscour Savannah, Perinoor Ruins, Hasla, and Rokhala Mountains.
Auroria (northern continent)
The original homeland of all civilizations, site of the great city of Delphinad and the Garden. Auroria was abandoned after Gene Evernight's wars and is now the setting for ArcheAge Chronicles. In the original game, Auroria served as endgame PvP territory with zones including Diamond Shores, Nuimari, Calmlands, Heedmar, Marcala, Exeloch, Sungold Fields, Golden Ruins, and the Western and Eastern Hiram Mountains.

The twelve heroes and the gods
Roughly 2,000 years before the game's events, twelve adventurers traveled to the Garden. They emerged transformed with godlike abilities after merging with divine soul fragments from Thiol, who perished in the process. Their actions and conflicts shaped the entire history of Erenor.
The gods of Erenor
Kyrios (Gene Evernight) - God of Destruction
Nui (Eanna Nimush) - Goddess of the Hereafter
Dahuta (Aranzebia) - Goddess of the Sea and Change
Shatigon (Ollo) - God of Iron Walls and Abundance
Tahyang - God of Wind, patron of the Firran
Haje (Inoch) - God of Sealed Doors
Ranshisha (Kyprosa) - God of Contact
Additional deities associated with the lore include Salphira, Akrites, Hora, Aier, and Ezi.
The fall of Auroria
Gene Evernight, corrupted by the power of Kyrios and manipulated by Anthalon, triggered the wars that destroyed Auroria. Nui created a portal to rescue survivors but expended all her power, sealing herself with Kyrios in the Hereafter. Survivors fled south and founded the civilizations of Nuia and Haranya.
