The Firran are an anthropomorphic feline race of the Haranyan Alliance on the eastern continent. Expert hunters with long, non-retractable claws, pointy ears, tails, and distinctive fur patterns, they live closer to nature than any other race in Erenor. Their motto, "Claw to earth, blood to water, fang to wind, fur to fire," ties every part of their being to the natural elements.
History
The Firran were indigenous to the eastern continent long before the Harani arrived. When the displaced Sallium family (later the Harani) expanded into Firran territory, the Firran resisted through superior strength and speed. The turning point came with the death of the god Tahyang (the Wind God), who had been a Firran member of the Library Expedition, one of the Twelve Heroes. His death shattered Firran morale and they became nomadic, eventually absorbed into the Perinoor Empire as their population decreased through war.
The reconciliation between Firran and Harani was ultimately sealed through an unlikely marriage: Queen Mei of the Harani stepped down from her throne to marry a Firran, symbolizing the union of the two peoples under the Haranya banner.
Culture
Firran are restless and nomadic, roaming the wilds fueled by dreams of protecting nature and reclaiming their former glory. They believe every life, no matter how small, plays a critical role in the natural world. All Firran strive to find their purpose and play their part in this ecological philosophy. Their bond with the natural world is not sentimental but practical: they are predators who understand ecosystems from the inside.
Starting area and mount
Firran players begin in the Falcorth Plains in the Mahadevi region. Their racial mount is the Snowlion, available in three variants: Snowmane, Coalmane, and Sandmane. The Snowlion is not just a mount but a lifelong companion, reflecting the Firran bond with the natural world.
Racial abilities
Strong Claws: Enables 50% faster tree and ladder climbing and boosts movement speed by 10% during dash, using the Firran's natural feline agility
Catlike Reflexes: Negates falling damage for 5 minutes, shared with the Dwarves but for entirely different biological reasons
These abilities may be modified or replaced in ArcheAge Chronicles.
