Auroria
Auroria is the northern continent of Erenor. It was the original homeland of all civilizations in the ArcheAge universe, site of the great city of Delphinad and the twelve heroes' Library Expedition. After the catastrophic wars triggered by Gene Evernight's corruption, the continent was abandoned for centuries. It is now the primary setting for ArcheAge Chronicles.
Zones in the original ArcheAge
Auroria was added as endgame content with the Conquest of Auroria expansion in November 2014. The entire continent was PvP-focused, and its zones fell into several categories:

Diamond Shores - The gateway zone connecting Auroria to the southern continents via a portal. It served as a hub for players entering the continent and contained both PvE and PvP content.
Siege territories - Nuimari, Calmlands, Heedmar, and Marcala. Each contained a claimable castle where guilds fought in siege warfare every four weeks.
Contested zones - Exeloch, Sungold Fields, Golden Ruins, and others where Crimson Army forces and open PvP made questing dangerous.
Hiram Mountains - Western and Eastern Hiram Mountains, home of the Hiram people and the endgame gear system added in Relics of Hiram 5.0.
The Ayanad Library
The Ayanad Library was one of Auroria's most significant dungeons. Built as an extension of Delphinad's scholarly tradition, the library was a massive multi-floor instance where players fought through guardians to reach increasingly valuable loot. Ayanad-tier weapons and armor were among the most powerful crafted items in the game. The library's lore connected to the Delphinad civilization's obsession with collecting and preserving knowledge.

The Hiram people
The Hiram were a race of humans who lived in northern Auroria with lifespans of approximately 200 years. They are believed to have been the first race to become the Returned (resurrected beings). The hero Inoch was born among the Hiram, sprouting wings as a young person, a condition that made him an outcast nearly killed by his own people before he fled Hiramakand, the Hiram capital. See Hiram for details on the tribe and the gear system named after them.

In ArcheAge Chronicles
Chronicles is set on Auroria roughly 50 years after the original game's events, during a period called the "Age of Pioneers." Explorers and settlers are returning to the long-forsaken continent for the first time. Players join a trading company and investigate an airship crash while uncovering the continent's buried history.
A named location in Chronicles is Central Harbor, a settlement that serves as a gathering point for the pioneers exploring the continent. The Settlers' Council governs the newly established communities.
The setting shift is significant. Where the original game's Auroria was a PvP battleground fought over by established endgame guilds, Chronicles positions it as a frontier being rediscovered, with emphasis on exploration, narrative, and the mystery of what happened to the continent during its centuries of abandonment.
